Abstract: Novel substituted N-hydroxypyrazoles or N-hydroxytriazoles of the general formula I ##STR1## where X and Y are O, S, SO, SO.sub.2 or CH.sub.2, B is N-pyrazolyl or N-1,2,4-triazolyl of the formulae Ba and Bb respectively ##STR2## R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, R.sup.3 is hydrogen, halogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, z is 1, 2 or 3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy, and n is 0, 1 or 2, and methods of combating pests.

Abstract: Methyl .alpha.-arylacrylates substituted by a heterocyclic radical and having the general formula ##STR1## where R is alkyl, alkenyl, haloalkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, halogen or aryl, the aromatic ring being unsubstituted or substituted, Het is a five-membered heteroaromatic ring which is unsubstituted or substituted and has from one to three heteroatoms, and A is ethenylene, ethylene, methyleneoxy or methylenethio, and fungicides and pesticides containing these compounds.

Abstract: A crop protection agent containing an active ingredient and based on a polymeric carrier, the active ingredient being adsorbed onto, dissolved in or otherwise bound to the said carrier, contains, as the polymeric carrier, a macroporous crosslinked, preferably styrene-containing, polymer having a particle size such that the said agent can be distributed by means of a conventional apparatus for applying crop protection agents, the active ingredient being taken up in the carrier by absorption.

Abstract: Benzyl esters of the formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is methyl, ethyl, halogen, methoxy or ethoxy, R.sup.2 is alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, bicycloalkyl, bicycloalkenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -alkyl-substituted cycloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -substituted cycloalkenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -alkyl-substituted bicycloalkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -alkyl-substituted bicycloalkenyl, R.sup.3 is hydrogen, cyano, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, A is the carboxylate radical of an acid component typical for pyrethroids and X is hydrogen or halogen, with the proviso that R.sup.2 is not CH.sub.2 --CH.dbd.CH--B when B is hydrogen, alkyl or alkenyl and at the same time R.sup.1 is methyl or halogen, and furthermore with the proviso that R.sup.2 is not methyl when R.sup.1 is methyl, their manufacture, their use for combating pests, and precursors for manufacturing the benzyl esters.

Abstract: Cyclopropanecarboxyamides of the general formula I ##STR1## Where R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkoxy, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine or bromine, with the proviso that R.sup.1 is not fluorine if R.sup.2 is H, and pesticides containing these compounds.

Abstract: Phenoxyalkyl-substituted heteroaromatics of the general formulae Ia and Ib ##STR1## where A is an unsubstituted or substituted heteroaromatic radical having 6 ring members and 1, 2 or 3 nitrogen atoms in the ring, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, halogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, R.sup.2 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, Q.sub.a is an unsubstituted or substituted azole radical and Q.sub.b is a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic radical which has a five-membered ring, and their use for combating pests.

Abstract: Cyclopropanethiocarboxamides I ##STR1## (R.sup.1, R.sup.2 =H, CN, NO.sub.2, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy; R.sup.3, R.sup.4 =H, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl; n=0 or 1).The compounds I are suitable as pesticides.

Abstract: 3(2H)-Pyridazinone derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl, R.sup.2 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, X is halogen, W is oxygen or sulfur, and Q is a substituted or unsubstituted, 5-or 6-membered heterocyclic structure having 2 to 4 heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur, with the proviso that Q is not isoxazolyl or pyridazinyl, and their use as pesticides.

Abstract: 2,2'-Thienylbenzothiophenes of the general formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 independently of one another are each halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy or haloalkoxy, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy or haloalkoxy, n is 0, 1 or 2, and the radicals may be different when n is 2, and m is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, and the radicals may be different when m is 2, 3 or 4, processes for their preparation, pesticides containing them and the use thereof.

Abstract: Methods of combating pests with substituted pyrimidines of the formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or substituted or unsubstituted aryl, R.sup.2 is halogen or hydrogen, A is oxygen or sulfur, and X is CH or N, and pyrimidines of the general formula Ia ##STR2## where A is oxygen or sulfur and X is CH or N, and pesticides containing these compounds.

Abstract: Substituted benzyl 2-phenylalk(en)-1-ylcyclopropanecarboxylates of the general formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is halogen or in each case low molecular weight, alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl or haloalkoxy (n=1 to 5),R.sup.2 is halogen or, in each case low molecular weight, alkyl or haloalkyl,R.sup.3, R.sup.4 are halogen or each is an electron in a double bond formed by them together,R.sup.5 is hydrogen or, in each case low molecular weight, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or cyano,R.sup.6 is halogen or alkyl (n=1 to 4),R.sup.7 is halogen (p=0 to 25),and their use for combating pests.

Abstract: Snails and slugs are controlled by a method in which the plants to be protected from molluscs, or the environment of the said plants, are or is treated with 2-tert-butyl-4-chloro-5-(4-tert-butylbenzylthio)-3 (2H)-pyridazinone I ##STR1## Snail and slug baits or seed dressings contain the active ingredient I.
