Abstract: A water recycling system for use in a premises comprises a filter system for receiving and filtering greywater; a storage tank for receiving and storing water from the filter system, the storage tank comprising a mains water inlet for receiving mains water; a distribution pump for pumping water from the storage tank to an end use; a control system for controlling operation of the system; and a plurality of flow meters in communication with the control system for measuring flow of water into and through the system and communicating flow data to the control system. A first flow meter is positioned to measure the flow of mains water entering the premises, a second flow meter is positioned to measure the flow of mains water entering the storage tank, and a third flow meter is positioned to measure the flow of water entering the storage tank from the filter system.
