  • Patent number: 9664404
Abstract: Device for thermal energy exchange between a first medium flow and a second medium flow, including a heat exchanger that facilitates alternating of the direction of the media flows therethrough, a first supply duct for conducting the first medium flow connecting to the heat exchanger, a first exhaust duct for conducting the first medium flow connecting to the first exhaust duct, a second supply duct for conducting a second medium flow connecting to the heat exchanger, and a second exhaust duct for conducting the second medium flow connecting to the heat exchanger. The device also includes a first heat exchanger element placed in one of the ducts and a second heat exchanger element placed in one of the ducts, wherein the heat exchanger elements are both included in a Carnot circuit having an expansion device and a compressor. The heat exchanger exchanges both thermal energy and phase transition energy.

  • Patent number: 7644754
Abstract: A recuperator for transferring thermal energy from a warm gas flow to a cold gas flow, comprising: a first group of ducts with a first connection and a second connection; a second group of ducts with a third connection and a fourth connection, wherein the ducts of both groups extend mutually parallel; a first supply for supplying the cold gas flow to the first connection; a first discharge for discharging the cold gas flow from the second connection; a second supply for supplying the warm gas flow to the third connection; and a second discharge for discharging the warm gas flow from the fourth connection. The device provides temporarily and repeatedly alternating connections from the first supply to the fourth connection; the first discharge to the third connection; the second supply to the second connection; and the second discharge to the first connection.

  • Publication number: 20090032228
Abstract: Device for thermal energy exchange between a first medium flow (15) and a second medium flow (16), comprising a heat exchanger (2), a first supply duct (3) for the conduction of the first medium flow connecting to the heat exchanger, a first exhaust duct (4), for conducting the first medium flow connecting to the first exhaust duct, a second supply duct (5) for conducting a second medium flow (16) connecting to the heat exchanger, and a second exhaust duct (6) for conducting the second medium flow (16) connecting to the heat exchanger, just as a first heat exchanger element (7) placed in one of the ducts, a second heat exchanger element (8) placed in one of the ducts, whereby the heat exchanger element are both included in a Carnot circuit that has an expansion device (11) and a compressor (10). The heat exchanger is set for exchange of both thermal energy and phase transition energy.

  • Patent number: 5298665
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing an alkanone and/or alkanol by oxidizing an alkane with 3-30 C-atoms, using oxygen, to form an alkyl hydroperoxide, followed by a decomposition of the resulting alkyl hydroperoxide in the presence of a metal compound immobilized on a carrier, which carrier carries aliphatic or aromatic amine groups or sulphide groups. The process is preferably applied to cycloalkanes.
