Abstract: Described is a polish product, and particularly to a shoe or leather care product, in the form of a paste. The product is essentially free of volatile components (organic components as well as water). It comprises a wax component in an amount in the range of from 20-60%, a non-aqueous, non-volatile liquid component, wherein non-volatile is defined as not being an organic volatile substance having a vapor pressure of greater than 1 torr (0.13 kPa), in an amount in the range of from 20-60%, and a fatty component, preferably a fatty acid, in an amount of 1 to 40 wt %, preferably 5-15% all percentages being weight percentages based on total shoe care product.

Abstract: A device for treating a surface, in particular a textile surface or a leather surface, such as, for instance, the upper surface of leather shoes, with a liquid substance, comprises a holder with a reservoir for this substance and with a sponge-like body via which the substance absorbed from the reservoir can be spread on the surface. Between the reservoir and the sponge-like body there is at least one receiving chamber having an inflow opening communicating with the reservoir. This inflow opening is closed in the condition of rest and can be opened at a movement of the sponge-like body with respect to a plane with which this body is contacted. From the receiving chamber the substance is absorbed by the sponge-like body with delay.

Abstract: A disc-shaped, soluble, chlorine base tablet is supported in a disposable plastic container on the upper ends of a pair of spaced partitions, which extend between the sidewalls of the container adjacent its midpoint. Movably mounted between the partitions beneath the tablet is an inverted, cup-shaped member, which has a water soluble dye cast or otherwise secured in its closed, upper end. The container has therein a pair of vertically spaced ports, and is adapted to be mounted in an upright position adjacent the bottom of a conventional toilet tank so that the lower port in the container permits a limited amount of water to flow in and out of the container each time the tank is flushed. After repeated flushings the water soluble tablet dissolves to a point where it permits the inverted cup member to float upwardly in the container, and to swing towards its upright position so that water in the container flows into engagement with the dye compositions.
