  • Publication number: 20230064672
Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal powder for use within an additive manufacturing process, the powder comprising steel particles, wherein the steel particles comprise, in a proportion by weight greater than or equal to 0.01% by weight and less than or equal to 5% by weight, carbonitrides (C,N) and/or carbides (C) and/or nitrides (N) selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium or mixtures thereof. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for producing a steel powder suitable for use within an additive manufacturing process and to the use of the steel powder according to the invention in an additive manufacturing process.

  • Patent number: 6338590
Abstract: A fitting is provided with surface corrosion protection which is obtained by firstly hot galvanizing the fitting and subsequently dipping it into a molten, eutectic alloy of zinc and approximately 5% aluminum before swaging it to a wire rope. In order to prevent the wire rope from sliding in the channel, the surface corrosion protection is deposited substantially only on the outer surfaces of the fitting, the channel receiving the wire rope being kept at least substantially free from the corrosion protection.

  • Patent number: 4655015
Abstract: The invention relates to an anchor tie member for use in carrying prefabricated concrete components, comprising a threaded portion for connecting the tie member to a lifting device and a tie rod having two end portions the first of which is secured to said threaded portion and the second of which is shaped so as to form at least one undulation therein. The arcuate shapes may be produced by a cold forming method and the presence of the undulation prevents the anchor tie from tearing out of the concrete while it is being transported and ensures a large breakout cone such that considerable forces may be withstood.

  • Patent number: 4647098
Abstract: The hoist clamp has a coupling eye (7) which has a gimbal-type connection by means of the shafts (5,6) to clamp operating crank (14). When a diagonal pull is exerted, the neck (42) of the coupling eye (7) engages against a bracing point (3,4) which is sufficiently high above the shaft (6) to ensure that the lever action provides extra clamping force between the clamps (11,12). When the coupling eye (7) swings about the shaft (5), the coupling eye engages against the upper edges (1,2) of the casing (8), said edges curving outwards, so that additional clamping force is also obtained when the pull exerted is diagonal. Said additional clamping force is only marginally affected by the load (32) held in the load aperture (37).

  • Patent number: 4262951
Abstract: This invention is in an arrangement to facilitate the transporting of a prefabricated concrete component. The concrete component is provided with a wire rope-type anchoring element having an exposed loop situated within a hemispherical recess in the surface of the concrete component. A hook-like component is provided which is made of cast steel having a plate-like shape with a lifting hole at one end and a hook element at the other end. The hook part has a substantially spherical outer configuration and an inner bearing surface curved to receive the loop. A movable safety stud is provided over the opening of the hook to prevent inadvertent release of the hook from the wire loop. In this arrangement, the plane of the hook component is angled relative to a vertical axis through the wire loop element so that the upper eyelet part is effectively displaced from the hook entrance portion.

  • Patent number: 3981115
Abstract: Facia plates are mounted on building structures through the agency of a suspension element in the form of a length of flexible wire rope (cable) with an externally-threaded sleeve at each end. One sleeve is threaded into a mating sleeve in the facia plate and the other is adjustably engaged with an element capable of hooked engagement with means on the building structure. This adjustable engagement allows for variation of the effective length of the rope.
