  • Publication number: 20170260093
Abstract: The invention generally relates to a method of making a plastic aggregate, and its use to make concrete products. The aggregate is formed by providing a granulated waste plastic material, introducing the granulated waste plastic material into an extruder having a die, the die having a ratio of die nozzle open area to die land area of about 1:10 to about 1:40, and extruding the granulated waste plastic material through the extruder to generate an extruded plastic aggregate. The method can include the presence of controlled cooling, the addition of additives and treatment of the surface of the aggregate to produce a desired aggregate that can be used to make a concrete product with desired properties, such as compressive strength and weight.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaner attachment generally includes a cleaning element that floats relative to a suction conduit of the vacuum cleaner attachment. The cleaning element is supported on a support structure that is movably coupled to a housing and is biased towards a floor, for example, as a result of the weight of the cleaning element support structure. The cleaning element may be permanently attached to the support structure or may be a removable or disposable pad or sheet attached to the support structure. The floating cleaning element may be supported between the suction conduit and one or more wheels of the vacuum cleaner attachment. • Publication number: 20040155374
Abstract: Preferred embodiments of the present invention comprise a method of manufacture utilizing significant amounts of R-PET and the preform and/or beverage bottle produced thereby. The method preferably comprises washing colored beverage bottles and substantially clear beverage bottles to remove any surface filth, forming colored R-PET flakes from the washed colored beverage bottles, and forming substantially clear R-PET flakes from the washed substantially clear beverage bottles. The colored R-PET flakes are preferably blended with the substantially clear R-PET flakes to form blended flakes having substantially homogenous color. The blended flakes are color corrected if so desired, and the blended flakes are then pelletized. The pelletized flakes are preferably combined with V-PET to form a preform which is then preferably shaped into a beverage bottle.

  • Patent number: 6179020
Abstract: The present fluid level controlled automatic shutoff valve is comprised of a tubular housing with an axial bore which has an upstream closure, a downstream opening, and an annular piston seat at the downstream opening. A movable piston is positioned in the bore, and biased to a retracted position by a tension spring connected between the piston and the closure of the bore. A plurality of channels on the wall of the housing extend between an upstream end of the housing and the bore. The channels terminate in venturis downstream of the piston in the retracted position. The shutoff valve is positioned in a fluid dispensing device. When pressurized fluid is delivered through the dispensing device, the fluid is directed through the channels and out the venturis at high speed and low pressure.
