  • Publication number: 20190212827
Abstract: A system includes a near eye display (NED) that comprises an optical assembly with an electronic display, an imaging sensor configured to capture images of a user's hands, and an eye imaging sensor configured to capture images of an eye of the user. The system also includes a controller configured to determine eye tracking information using the captured images of the eye, the eye tracking information indicating a gaze orientation, wherein the gaze orientation terminates at first location. The controller determines that a pose of the user's hand indicates a pinch gesture based on the captured images of the user's hands. The controller also identifies an object in the local area that is at the first location, and updates the display instructions to cause the electronic display to display an indication of a selection of the object in an artificial reality environment.

  • Publication number: 20190209651
Abstract: The present invention provides microparticles that induce the migration of multipotent stem cells to the anatomical site of the microparticles. Various release profiles are demonstrated that depend upon the relative concentration of alginate in the chemokine-loaded microparticle. Local administration and/or intraarticular injection of the microparticles are useful in conditions such as osteoarthritis. Targeted systemic delivery of the alginate chemokine microparticles to distant anatomical sites subjected to autoimmune disease symptomology can be performed by encapsulation within liposomes having targeting ligands. Consequently, upon the creation of the appropriate chemokine gradient, multipotent stem cells will migrate to the distant anatomical site where the liposomes are attached.

  • Publication number: 20190212828
Abstract: A system includes a near eye display (NED) that is configured to display images in accordance with display instructions. The system also includes an imaging sensor configured to capture images. The system further includes a controller configured to identify the object in the captured images using one or more recognition patterns, and to determine a pose of the user's hand based on the captured images, with the determined pose indicating a touch gesture with the identified object. The controller also updates the display instructions to cause the electronic display to display a virtual menu in an artificial reality environment, with the virtual menu within a threshold distance of the position of the object in the artificial reality environment.

  • Patent number: 10195252
Abstract: The present invention provides microparticles that deliver in vivo predictable release profiles of at least one chemokine to create a biomimetic chemokine concentration gradient that induces the migration of multipotent stem cells to the anatomical site of the microparticles. Various release profiles are demonstrated that depend upon the relative concentration of alginate in the chemokine-loaded microparticle. Local administration and/or intraarticular injection of the microparticles are useful in conditions such as osteoarthritis. • Publication number: 20150044665
Abstract: The present invention relates to a target-specific probe containing T7 bacteriophage with a targeting antibody, and a detection method or a detection kit for a biomarker using the target-specific probe. The biomarker can be detected by using the genetically-modified T7 bacteriophage expressing various heterogeneous proteins and peptides on its surface and antibody-antigen specific reaction which can make the probe targeted to a biomarker or bacteria; and a detectable labeling agent, for example a quantum dot.

  • Patent number: 8406076
Abstract: A method and apparatus for reducing power consumption during an operation in a non-volatile storage device is disclosed. A non-volatile storage device controller that is in communication with a non-volatile memory in the non-volatile storage device receives a characteristic corresponding to a time duration required for the non-volatile memory to complete an operation. The controller disables a circuit that indicates when an operation by the non-volatile memory is complete. The controller then initiates the operation in the non-volatile memory, and maintains the circuit in a disabled state for a first predetermined time that is a portion of the time duration. The controller enables the circuit upon expiration of the first predetermined time and prior to the completion of the operation. The controller receives an indication of the completion of the operation via the circuit.
