  • Patent number: 10749307
Abstract: An adapter plate alignment gauge system includes an adapter plate for holding a crimping tool in different positions and an alignment gauge for aligning the crimping tool in a predetermined set crimping tool position relative to the alignment gauge. The adapter plate is immovably arrangeable in a predetermined set adapter plate position in a crimping press which, in order to create a crimp connection, connects one conductor end of a cable to a crimp contact. The alignment gauge can be fastened to the adapter plate whereby the alignment gauge is arranged in a predetermined set alignment gauge position relative to the adapter plate.

  • Patent number: 10566756
Abstract: A crimping tool exchange device for exchanging crimping tools in a process position in a cable crimp contact crimping press has at least two exchange spots that each retain a crimping tool. When the exchange spots are in a first exchange position, a first tool is displaced from the process position to a first exchange spot along a first direction of movement, the exchange spots are linearly moved from the first exchange position into a second exchange position wherein the first tool and a second tool located on a second exchange spot move in a second direction of movement that differs from the first direction of movement, and in the second exchange position the second tool is displaced from the second exchange spot into the process position in a third direction of movement that is opposite to the first direction of movement.

  • Patent number: 7757386
Abstract: A crimping device has a contact advancer provided with an exchangeable anvil part. A first pulley, a belt and an advancing motor drive a first carriage. A gripper for advancing the contact belt is guided in a direction crosswise to a direction of the first carriage. The distance between the gripper and the first carriage is determined by a second carriage and a roller of the gripper rolling in a fifth linear guide of the second carriage. The distance from the gripper is predetermined by the exchangeable anvil part and depends on the width of the contact belt. The gripper operates independent of the distance between the transport holes and independent of the width of the contact belt. The anvil part including the belt guide is an exchangeable part and only fits one type of crimp contact and is executed crimp-contact specifically.

  • Patent number: 7637003
Abstract: In this crimping device, a press slide (5) is provided with a crimp-height adjuster (20) for the insulation crimper (9). The crimp-height adjuster (20) arranged on the press slide (5) above an upper tool (7) consists essentially of a rotationally hindered eccentric disk (21), a lever (22), and a magnet (23) with plunger (24). The eccentric disk (21) is mounted rotatably on an axle (25). During production of crimp connections, the plunger (24) is at rest outside an elongated hole (28) of the lever (22). The press slide (5) with the upper tool (7) can be moved up and down without hindrance. With the plunger (24) inserted into the elongated hole (28) and with an upward motion of the press slide (5), after overcoming the friction of a disk-spring assembly the eccentric disk (21) executes rotational motion in clockwise direction. The lever (22) that is rigidly connected to the axle (25) turns the eccentric disk (21) about the axle (25).

  • Patent number: 7587918
Abstract: A crimping device has for each crimper an anvil including a conductor anvil provided with a force sensor on which the force that arises in the conductor anvil during the crimping operation acts. The conductor anvil rests on a sensor body which in turn rests on a supporting part of the crimping device. The force sensor measures the force that is required to manufacture the conductor crimp, the quality of the crimped fastening being assessable by reference to the force curve generated by the force sensor.

  • Patent number: 7363703
Abstract: A sleeve-fitter includes a sleeve module, a fitting module, a control and a base module. The fitting module and control are part of the base module. In operation, a centering pin and a round hole cooperate when the sleeve module is in contact with the base module and the sleeve module can be separated from the base module by a lever. The sleeve module includes a sleeve container with a drum, a filling funnel with a cover, a support for accommodating sleeve-specific machine parts and/or tools, and a feeder rail arranged on a linear vibratory feeder. A drive arranged on the base module imparts rotational movement to the drum which then feeds sleeves onto the feeder rail. This sleeve-fitter results in short retooling times and therefore short downtimes.

  • Patent number: 7024752
Abstract: A crimping press has a tool receptacle arranged at a lower end of a pressing slider provided with a force-sensing device. The forces arising during the crimping operation are transmitted from the supporting surfaces of an upper tool to several points on the force-sensing device. Provided on each side of an upper fork and held by screws are two collars to which are transmitted, the crimping forces on either side of the supporting surface. With their heads, the screws hold the collars, while with their other ends the screws are engaged with the pressing slider. The collars transmit the crimping forces to the sensor elements of the force-sensing device.

  • Patent number: 6289573
Abstract: Production unit for processing cable ends, wherein the cable ends are trimmed, stripped of insulation and connected to contacts by means of crimp connections. The production unit includes the subassemblies of a gripper unit, a knife head, an ejector, an adjusting device, a contact cutter and a crimping device, wherein the subassemblies are arranged at a housing. The cable end of a cable is manually advanced up to a processing region, wherein a release device establishes the correct position of the cable end and triggers the processing procedure. Improperly connected contacts are separated from the cable by the contact cutter, wherein the gripper unit transports the cable by a rotational movement to the contact cutter.
