  • Patent number: 6765628
Abstract: A method for searching a predetermined satellite channel by making use of information available from the satellite. The method comprises three steps. The first step is searching for a service channel from the satellite, if found than the user look up table is updated with this information. A second step is updating the user look up table by using the receiver look up table, which is implemented in the satellite receiver. The third step is the conventionally search through the entire band till the predetermined channel is found.

  • Patent number: 6163685
Abstract: In a receiver for digital symbols, an input signal received by a tuner is passed via a SAW filter and a controllable amplifier to an input of a demodulator. The output signals (I,Q) of the demodulator are passed via controllable amplifiers to analog to digital converters. In order to avoid the use of a feedback signal from the digital part of the receiver to the analog part it is proposed to use first control means for controlling the output signal of the demodulator and second control means for controlling the output signal of the analog to digital converters. An additional advantage is that both control means can be optimized for their respective environments.

  • Patent number: 5649313
Abstract: In a television receiver a SAW filter (FSAW) is preceded by a coupling network (CNW). The coupling network (CNW) includes an inductor (LP) between two input terminals of the SAW filter (IS1, IS2). It further includes a series resonance circuit (SRC) coupled to at least one of the input terminals (IS1). In order to reduce signal distortion a resistor (RP) is coupled between the two input terminals (IS1, IS2). Alternatively, a resistor (RS) is coupled in parallel to the series resonance circuit (SRC).
