    Abstract: An irrigation system shut-off valve includes first and second hollow housing sections with are threadedly connected by an elongated pipe so that all of the sections lie on a common axis. A valve seat and a valve member concentric to said axis are present in the second housing section, the valve member being movable between a closed position wherein the valve member seals against the valve seat and an open position wherein the valve member is spaced from the valve seat.
