  • Patent number: 5960803
Abstract: A method of using a device for use in cleaning septic tanks, comprising a rotatable blade for breaking up the scum layer within a septic tank, power drive for turning the blade with sufficient power to break up the scum, and driveshaft for operably connecting the blade to the power drive. The device can be used as a septic tank agitator, in order to liquefy the scum, liquid and sludge components within the tank, within a period of time far shorter than the traditional method of back-flushing to disrupt the layer.

  • Patent number: 5375269
Abstract: The water-saving devices for a toilet is of the type which float up and down on the overflow tube, where downward movement of the device brings it into contact with the flapper valve at the bottom of the toilet tank in order to close it prematurely, thereby reducing the amount of water used for the flush. Upper and lower opposing cup shapes are integrally mounted around respective cylindrical sleeves, the sleeves being adapted to slide one within the other to adjust the spacing between the opposing cup shapes. One sleeve has an inset area with a longitudinal row of spaced holes or indentations. The other sleeve has an elongated tongue having a raised dimple which engages one of the spaced holes or indentations to set the spacing between cup shapes. A number of ribs or vanes are molded as part of the upper cup, and act to deflect the float rod to reduce any possibility of the float rod catching under the upper cup.

  • Patent number: 4817334
Abstract: A window bar guard system for discouraging breaking and entry through a window is constructed of components which may be readily assembled and installed by the consumer. The grillwork for the window bar guard system includes a set of telescoping tubular steel bars. The telescoping bars permit the consumer to expand or retract the grillwork system to fit a desired window. Upon obtaining the proper size of the grillwork, the steel tubular bars are permanently secured together to provide a solid grillwork custom fitted for the particular window.

  • Patent number: 4613006
Abstract: A ground support vehicle has a rear drive track. Cleats extending transversely of the outer surface of the track are outwardly curved to facilitate leaning of the vehicle and its rider as the vehicle travels around a curve. In a preferred embodiment the vehicle includes a ski mounted on front forks so that the vehicle can be used for recreational purposes in snow or directly on unpaved ground and tracks. A wheel can be fitted in place of the ski if desired.
