  • Patent number: 5939638
Abstract: A remote pressure or vacuum sensing device including a housing having first and second chambers separated by an internal wall, the first chamber being in fluid communication with a pressurized or vacuum environment to be monitored. An activator assembly is carried within the first chamber for axial movement therein between a terminal position and other positions in response to fluid communication of pressure or vacuum conditions of the monitored environment to a portion of said activator assembly. An activatable assembly is carried within the said second chamber for activation upon movement of the activator assembly from its terminal portion to other positions to provide signals for indicating pressure changes in the monitored environment.

  • Patent number: 5278530
Abstract: A magnetically actuated valve position sensing device for a linear or rotary valve comprising a switch housing completely enclosing one or more magnetic proximity switches. A mounting assembly comprises an outer housing for slideably receiving the switch housing, a magnetic rotary indicator on top the outer housing for indicating an open/close position for the valve and for actuating the switches in response to the shaft positions, and a shaft assembly for connecting the rotary indicator to the shaft of the rotary or linear valve. A bracket assembly mounts the switch housing to a stationary member of a linear valve and comprises brace members carrying magnets and connected to the linear valve shaft whereby the magnets actuate the switches upon translational movement of the brace members and the reciprocation of the linear shaft.

  • Patent number: 4745383
Abstract: A magnetically operated proximity device is provided with a pivotal armature formed as a hat in cross section with two L-shaped members, one being longer and greater in mass than the other. The horizontal leg of each L-shaped member is arranged such as to contact an electrical contact. The greater surface area of the L-shaped members enhance the sensitivity of the device, with the horizontal leg of each L-shaped member extending over a different pole face of a permanent magnet.
