  • Patent number: 11957793
Abstract: The present invention provides a nanoparticle comprising a poly(alkyl cyanoacrylate) homopolymer, or copolymer, at least one active agent and an anionic and radical inhibitor, wherein the anionic and radical inhibitor is a compound having the following formula: wherein R1 is H; and R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 are independently selected from the group consisting of —H, —OH, C1-C6 alkoxide, C1-C6 alkyl, halides, carboxylic acid, ketone or aldehyde; wherein the anionic and radical inhibitor is present in an amount of 0.001 to 15 wt %, as well as a process suitable for manufacture of the nanoparticle.

  • Publication number: 20230205312
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for a waveguide system may be used to support eye tracking in a head mounted display. The waveguide system may be positioned in a user's field of view and within a lens assembly of an HMD to capture light that is reflected from an eye. The waveguide system may include a waveguide, a first diffraction grating, and a second diffraction grating. The first diffraction grating may be configured to in-couple light into the waveguide from an eyebox region. The first diffraction grating may be a rolled diffraction grating having slanted grating planes that receive light from a larger surface area and direct the light onto a smaller surface area. The second diffraction grating may receive the light from the first diffraction grating in the waveguide and may be configured to out-couple the light from the waveguide onto an image sensor.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for a waveguide system may be used to support eye tracking in a head mounted display (HMD). The waveguide system may be positioned in a user’s field of view and within a lens assembly of the HMD to capture light that is reflected from an eye. The waveguide system may include a waveguide, a first diffraction grating, and a second diffraction grating. The first diffraction grating may be configured to in-couple light of a first wavelength into the waveguide, and the second diffraction grating may be configured to in-couple light of a second wavelength. The first and second diffraction gratings operate together to detect light reflections from an eyebox region.

  • Publication number: 20230204967
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for a waveguide system may be used to support eye tracking in a head mounted display (HMD). The waveguide system may be positioned in a user’s field of view and within a lens assembly of the HMD to capture light that is reflected from an eye. The waveguide system may have a number of multi-directional gratings configured to direct light to an out-coupling grating. The multi-directional gratings include first and second in-coupling diffraction gratings disposed in a waveguide. The first and second in-coupling diffraction gratings are oriented to direct incident light in multiple directions within the waveguide towards the out-coupling diffraction grating.

  • Patent number: 7364517
Abstract: A soccer practice apparatus to assist a user in practicing the ability to power kick, ball control, mid-volley and/or head a soccer ball. The apparatus can be formed from an arm assembly comprised of a primary arm member angled with a smooth bend to a substantially vertical portion at the end. The arm assembly is connected to a substantially vertical support member. A tether cord extends through and along a length of the primary arm member and is attached to a soccer ball. The tether cord is adjustable and permits the height of the ball to be adjusted for ground ball positions, mid volleys, and heading. The apparatus further permits a ball to be hit in any direction from any adjusted position above ground without creating ball contact with the upright support member.
