  • Patent number: 7802604
Abstract: The invention relates to a sonotrode (1) for ultrasonic machining workpieces. The sonotrode (1) is connected on the input side to a drive (5) with at least two ultrasonic transmitter units excited by an ultrasonic generator, is provided with a narrow and long machining surface (12) in front on the output side of the sonotrode, and is provided, at the side, with at least slot (10) situated approximately between two ultrasonic transmitter units. In order to obtain a narrow and long machining surface (12) in front on the output side of the sonotrode (1), whereby the machining surface has a length of more than twice the effective machining length so that it extends away over the crosswise dimension even of a wider workpiece, and the height of the device, which is measured from the front machining surface to behind over the drive (5), is not significantly greater than ?/2.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7353685
Abstract: A device for punching, stamping and/or shaping flat elements (29) includes a base body (1) with a table (18) and support (26) for the flat element (29), and a base plate (17), which supports a punch (24), and which is advanced with a drive (4,5) toward the support (26) and into a working station (II), bringing the punch (24) into contact with the support (26). A large number of successive, very short, highly precise, punching strokes make punched holes or stampings. Short stop periods and short clock times are used for fast moving flat elements (29). Transfer apparatus (9, 7; 35; 43; 46) coupled between the drive (4,5) and the base plate (17) move the base plate (17) without building up pressure from a position of rest (I) The punch (24) is not in contact with the support (26), up to immediately in front of working position (II). The base plate (17) is then moved into working position (II) while producing a high pressure between the base plate (17) and the flat element (29).

  • Patent number: 5976315
Abstract: Anvil for an ultrasonic sealing unit for sealing at least two sections composed of a plastic coated support material; wherein the ultrasonic sealing unit comprises a sonotrode movable relative to the anvil. The anvil has an anvil body with a sealing surface at a front of the body. The sealing surface has raised and indented areas where the raised areas are configured as narrow ribs. One of the ribs is a lower retaining rib running along a free lower edge of the sealing surface. Another of the ribs is a central sealing rib, above and parallel to the lower retaining rib, which central sealing rib extends across the entire width of the sealing surface.

  • Patent number: 5927046
Abstract: A device for sealing the closing seam of a germ-free filled package made from plastic coated paper in germ-free conditions in a clean room; where, in the direction of movement of a sealing jaw, a drive mechanism having a hydraulic cylinder using germ-free water as the hydraulic fluid, and being provided with a piston rod, is connected to the sealing jaw. Behind the sealing jaw the drive member is fixed in a stationary manner to a retaining frame. In front of the sealing jaw and in the direction of movement of the sealing jaw, a counter jaw is securely fixed onto the retaining frame.
