Patent number: 9719241Abstract: A method is provided for operating a wastewater pumping station of a wastewater pumping network. The pumping station includes a pump, that starts pumping if a level of a wastewater in a tank exceeds a first wastewater level, and the pump stops pumping if the level of the wastewater in the tank drops below a second level. The method includes determining a magnitude of a parameter (Psys, Q, n, ?P, Pelectrical, cos ?, I) expressing the load of the wastewater pumping network. If it is determined that the magnitude of the parameter has passed a specified threshold, the pump is activated to start pumping in an energy optimization mode. A control unit is also provided for the wastewater pumping station of the wastewater pumping network, and a system is provided for centrally controlling a plurality of pumps of wastewater pumping stations in a wastewater pumping network.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2013Date of Patent: August 1, 2017Assignee: GRUNDFOS HOLDING A/SInventors: Peter Jungklas Nybo, Carsten Skovmose Kallesøe, Klaus Grønnegård Lauridsen

Patent number: 9595999Abstract: A method for data transmission between a pump assembly (2) and a control device (8) is provided, wherein the pump assembly (2) for the energy supply is connected via at least one electrical supply lead (10) to a frequency converter (14). The data transmission is effected via the electrical supply lead (10), and an evaluation of a data transmission signal (34) received by the pump assembly (2) or the control device (8) is only effected in low-disturbance regions of a carrier signal (22) formed by a supply current. A pump system designed for carrying out this method is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2006Date of Patent: March 14, 2017Assignee: Grundfos Management a/sInventors: Peter Jungklas Nybo, Jorgen Jensen

Publication number: 20110127864Abstract: A flow production unit for submerged operation in a fluid includes an impeller and a magnet gear having an input side and an output side, each side having an arrangement of magnetic poles, wherein the arrangements of magnetic poles are coupled in movement to one another by way of magnetic fields. A transmission ratio exists between an input side and output side of the magnet gear. The output side of the magnet gear is coupled in movement to the impeller for drive thereof. The electric motor for drive of the magnet gear is coupled in movement to its input side. An encapsulation is present, which commonly encapsulates the electric motor and the arrangement of magnetic poles of the input side of the magnet gear together in a fluid-tight manner, and separates them from the output side of the magnet gear.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2010Publication date: June 2, 2011Applicant: GRUNDFOS MANAGEMENT A/SInventor: Peter Jungklas NYBO

Patent number: 7195462Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling several pumps in a pump sump, with which each pump comprises a switch which switches on the pump and each pump after its running is first blocked and depending on the running of the further pumps in the pump sump is released again. The invention further relates to a pump for carrying out this method.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2003Date of Patent: March 27, 2007Assignee: Grundfos a/sInventors: Peter Jungklas Nybo, Lasse Ilves, Heikki Yli-Korpela

Patent number: 6981399Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting a differential pressure or for correcting a pressure value detected in the fluid on the basis of a pressure of a surrounding medium, wherein at a first point in time the pressure of the surrounding medium is detected and at a later, second point in time the pressure of the fluid is detected, and the pressure value detected in the fluid is corrected on the basis of the pressure of the surrounding medium. The invention furthermore relates to a pump system with a level sensor in which this method is applied, as well as to the use of a pressure sensor in such a pump system.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2003Date of Patent: January 3, 2006Assignee: Grundfos A/SInventors: Peter Jungklas Nybo, Lasse Ilves, Heikki Yli-Korpela
