  • Patent number: 6682460
Abstract: A treadmill includes a tread base with a first foot unit disposed at a front end of the tread base, and a pair of rear links having front ends pivotally connected to the tread base rearwardly of the first foot unit and rear ends provided with a second foot unit. The rear links are pivotal relative to the tread base to move the second foot unit towards and away from the tread base. A console assembly includes a pair of posts extending upward from and pivoted to the tread base, and a console panel attached to top ends of the posts. A pair of coupling arms have front and rear ends respectively connected to the posts and the rear links.

  • Patent number: 6383120
Abstract: A treadmill includes a horizontal frame, an upright frame disposed upwardly on a front portion of the horizontal frame, and a horizontal deck laid over the horizontal frame and having a front portion connected pivotally to the front portion of the horizontal frame so that the deck can be turned upwardly on the horizontal frame to a folded position, where the deck abuts against the upright frame. A locking device includes a front tube having a front end connected pivotally to the rear portion of the horizontal frame, and a front positioning hole formed in a rear end thereof. A rear tube has a rear end that is connected pivotally to the rear portion of the deck, a front end that is connected telescopically to the rear end of the front tube so that the deck can be folded on the upright frame, and a rear positioning hole formed therein such that rotation of the deck to the folded position causes the rear tube to move away from the front tube.

  • Publication number: 20010044363
Abstract: An exerciser includes an elongated base which has two aligned slide slots. A post is fixed on a front end portion of the base. A driving wheel is disposed rotatably on the front end portion of the base, and has a fixed rotating shaft. Two cranks are connected respectively and fixedly to two ends of the rotating shaft. Each of two inner links has a front end that is connected rotatably to a respective one of the cranks and that is rotatable about the rotating shaft, and a rear end that is received slidably within a respective one of the slide slots in the base. Two horizontally extending transverse pivot pins connect two pedals respectively and rotatably to the inner links. Each of two upright swing levers has an intermediate portion that is mounted pivotally on a respective one of the posts. Each of two outer links has a front end that is connected pivotally to a lower end of a respective one of the swing levers, and a rear end that is connected fixedly to a respective one of the pedals.

  • Patent number: 6273843
Abstract: A walking exerciser includes a horizontal frame and an upright frame extending uprightly from the horizontal frame, and a treadmill body attached to and disposed over the horizontal frame. An inclination adjustment mechanism includes two rear links having lower ends mounted pivotally on a rear portion of the horizontal frame and that are inclined forwardly and upwardly. Two horizontal first pivots extend through upper ends of the rear links, and connect the rear links rotatably to the treadmill body. Two front links have upper ends sleeved rotatably on the first pivots, respectively, and are inclined forwardly and downwardly. Two slots are formed in the horizontal frame. Two sliding members are fixed respectively to lower ends of the front links and are received slidably within the slide slots. A connecting member interconnects the front links fixedly. A movable tube has a rear end that is connected pivotally to the connecting member, and a front end surface that is formed with a threaded hole.

  • Patent number: 4943049
Abstract: A climber includes two swing arms which carry pedals at the free ends thereof. A drawing member is fastened to the intermediate portions of the swing arms and is guided so that, when a user steps on and moves one of the pedals downward, the other of the pedals moves upward. The reciprocal movement of the drawing member rotates a wheel axle in a predetermined direction. A hub is sleeved rotatably on the wheel axle and is connected to the same by a speed-increasing mechanism. A wheel body is sleeved rigidly on the hub and has a plurality of generally radially extending wheel blades. The rotational speed of the wheel body is much greater than that of the wheel axle.
