  • Patent number: 7497510
Abstract: A motor vehicle with a vehicle body, which comprises at least a pair of struts, at least one vibration-selective detection unit for detecting longitudinal stresses on the struts during operation of the vehicle, and at least one actuator for producing a force that counteracts the longitudinal stress, wherein the at least two struts are connected by a holding device, which is movably supported relative to the body, wherein a common actuator is configured for simultaneously adjusting the struts connected by the actuator.

  • Publication number: 20080051958
Abstract: A process for controlling and adjusting an active chassis system (1) of a vehicle having a sensor device (2) and at least one element (3, 4, 5) for acquiring vehicle accelerations of the chassis system (1). The mode of operation of the one or more elements (3, 4, 5) is modified by a control device (6) which is in operative connection with the sensor device (2) such that subframe oscillations occurring while driving are minimized. Torsional oscillations of the body are determined by the sensor device (2) and the control device (6). The mode of operation of the element (3, 4, 5) is adjustably controlled by the control device (6) to counteract the calculated torsional oscillations of the body.

  • Publication number: 20070205635
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle (1), especially a cabriolet vehicle, provided with a body with which the following are associated: at least one pair (3;6) of struts (4, 5; 7,8), at least one vibration-selective recording unit for detecting longitudinal stresses occurring on the struts (4, 5; 7, 8) during the operation of the vehicle, and at least one actuator (14) for triggering a force that counteracts a longitudinal stress. The inventive motor vehicle is embodied in such a way that at least two struts (4, 5 or 7, 8) are connected by means of a holding device (10) which is fixed in such a way that it can move in relation to the body, and a common actuator (14) for acting simultaneously on symmetrical struts (4, 5 or 7, 8) is associated with said holding device.

  • Publication number: 20070107964
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle, in particular a cabriolet car whose body comprises a least one strut (4, 5, 7, 8) provided with an element (4c, 5c, 7c, 8c) which is longitudinally movable with respect to the body by repetitive longitudinal stresses opposite to the vehicle driving direction. According to said invention, the vehicle is constructed in such a way that the element (4c, 5c, 7c, 8c) is displaceable with respect to an energy converter (10, 10a, 10b, 10c, 11), thereby making it possible to brake the relative motion of the strut (4, 5, 7, 8) with respect to the body and to convert the strut (4, 5, 7, 8) motional energy into a least one other form of energy.
