    Abstract: An imprintable sheet of plastic is proposed having a carrier sheet and a layer applied on at least one side for receiving an imprint in which to improve the absorbency, to increase the drying speed of the imprint and to improve the outline sharpness of the imprint the layer receiving the imprint consists of a firm polymer matrix and microporous finely divided solid particles embedded therein. Furthermore, a method is described for producing such an imprintable sheet. The sheet is preferably used for making imprintable self-adhesive or non-self-adhesive labels.
