    Abstract: A device for stripping cable has a support roller arrangement and a work wheel arrangement. The support roller arrangement is on a rotation base rotatable about an axis of rotation and the work wheel arrangement is on a work wheel guide. The rotation base and the work wheel guide are connected via at least one guide and the work wheel guide is displaceable relative to the rotation base in a guide direction running transversely to the axis of rotation. The support roller arrangement has at least two support rollers each mounted on the rotation base so as to be rotatable about a support roller axis and the work wheel arrangement has a rolling wheel mounted on the work wheel guide so as to be rotatable about a rolling wheel axis. A clamping region is formed around the axis of rotation and between the support rollers and the rolling wheel.

The axial end of the plurality of electrical strands is inserted into the recess and the plurality of strands are welded to the contact piece by melting the closed end face arranged in the recess by radiation energy of a radiation directed onto the end face.
