    Abstract: A medical monitor, such as a fetal monitor, records physiologic signals representing the same physiologic parameter, but originating from different beings, such as the heart rate traces originating from two fetuses, in particular twins. In case the two signals show a significant amount of overlap which impairs their interpretation, one of the signals is recorded with an appropriate offset. Switching between the offset mode and the non-offset mode may be performed manually or on an automatic basis.
