  • Publication number: 20060273879
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for securing a vehicle against theft. According to the invention, at least one essential operating element (2) of the vehicle can be switched between three operating states A, B and C. An external authorisation device (3) switches the operating element into the unlimited operating state A. If a defined action (20) is carried out, for example the driver's door is opened, the operating element is switched into the operating state B for a defined period of time. If authorisation information is transmitted during this time, the operating element is switched back to the operating state A. Otherwise, once this period of time has expired, the operating element is switched into the non-operational operating state C.

  • Publication number: 20040226250
Abstract: A hollow section made of a metal alloy and having at least one hollow space which is delimited by walls featuring end lengths forming corner regions. The walls exhibit at least in part different thicknesses in cross-section. The thickness of the end length of the walls diminishes in a continuous manner to a smaller thickness. The facing and approximately parallel outer walls of the hollow section are joined on the inside by at least one integral inner wall. The outer walls along with the inner walls delimit a plurality of hollow chambers and the walls of each chamber exhibit in each case a middle length of constant thickness and at both ends thereof an end length of increasing thickness.

  • Patent number: 5490913
Abstract: A magnetic field enhanced sputtering arrangement and vacuum treatment apparatus includes an arrangement housing, on whose front face is mountable a target arrangement. A magnet carrier arrangement is rotatably supported about an axis in the arrangement housing. Magnetic flux of the magnet carrier penetrates through a region of the mounted target arrangement and the region is shifted through a relative rotational motion. An electric motor drive with a drive housing is connected to the arrangement housing so as to be torsion-tight therewith, and a rotor is rotatably supported in the drive housing, which, in turn, acts upon the magnet carrier arrangement. The drive housing forms the arrangement housing and the rotor is connected to the magnet carrier arrangement so as to be non-rotatable therewith, for a compact construction.

  • Patent number: 5316546
Abstract: A hinge for use in an orthosis having the function of supporting, protecting and/or controlling a body joint. The hinge includes first and second sets of flexible, substantially planar, elongated strip-shaped elements mutually slidable in a plane-to-plane contacting relationship. The strip-shaped elements are carried by supporting members having a controlling and guiding function and at least one of the sets of strip-shaped elements is comprised of resilient strip elements having a degree of springiness and stiffness and being resiliently flexible in the longitudinal direction of the strip yet essentially rigid against bending about an axis essentially perpendicular to the hinge axis of the joint.
