    Abstract: A backplane printed circuit board is metalized on its outer side with a shielding layer on which a metal body is applied over a large area, and the metal body has an aperture for the plug connection. A shielding sleeve, which covers over the plug parts of the plug connection in the manner of a cap, is screwed into the aperture of the metal body. Thus, the module frame is hence shielded against the penetration of interfering radiation.

  • Light waveguide plug-type connector

    Abstract: A light waveguide plug-type connector for rack mountings has one plug axially rigidly connected to one of the strips forming the rack mounting and the other plug being mounted for axial movement and the other of the two strips forming the rack mounting. A centering sleeve is carried in a tube which is mounted in the one strip and the plug is secured to this tube. Preferably, the centering sleeve is a slotted ceramic sleeve.

  • Plug connector for fiber optic cables

    Abstract: A plug connector assembly for fiber optic cables. The connector assembly provides for maintaining an optimal orientation of the fiber optic cables to be connected. In a preferred embodiment, each plug to be used in the connector assembly includes a sleeve having a longitudinal ridge which fits into a groove provided in a ring nut affixed to a plug housing. The invention also provides structure for limiting the torque applied when securing the plug, thus preventing over-tightening and preserving the rotational orientation of the plugs.
