  • Publication number: 20250229302
Abstract: A device for cleaning an end face of an optical fiber may receive a first pressure signal from a first pressure sensor, wherein the device includes a pneumatic circuit, wherein the pneumatic circuit includes: one or more circuit components, the first pressure sensor, and a second pressure sensor. The device may receive a second pressure signal from the second pressure sensor. The device may determine, based on the first pressure signal and the second pressure signal, whether a pressure difference across a circuit component, of the one or more circuit components, satisfies a threshold. The device may perform, based on the pressure difference across the circuit component not satisfying the threshold, one or more actions.

  • Publication number: 20230201886
Abstract: A device for cleaning an end face of an optical fiber may apply a vacuum to a solvent tank, where the device includes a vacuum generator to apply the vacuum and the solvent tank. The device may receive, from a solvent reservoir and in response to applying the vacuum, solvent with the solvent tank. Additionally, or alternatively, a device for cleaning an end face of an optical fiber may apply a pressure to a solvent reservoir, where the device includes a pressure port to apply the pressure and a solvent tank. The device may receive, from the solvent reservoir and in response to applying the pressure, solvent with the solvent tank.

  • Publication number: 20200096751
Abstract: An optical adapter system may comprise a mounting plate. The mounting plate may include a set of magnets associated with: mechanically connecting the mounting plate and an optical adapter of the optical adapter system, and facilitating movement of the optical adapter between multiple positions associated with different optical fiber polishes. The optical adapter system may comprise the optical adapter. The optical adapter may include a set of structures associated with the set of magnets. The optical adapter may include an optical tip connector associated with mechanically connecting the optical adapter system and an optical cable.

  • Publication number: 20130321906
Abstract: An imaging system for viewing both flat and angled surfaces of a test element, such as the end faces of both PC and APC optical fibers. A light source provides light to the angled surface, while lensing directs a portion of the original light to the angled surface at a second acute angle. A collector, e.g. photodetector, lenses or human eye, receives the portion of the light reflected from the angled surface and generates an image thereof. An annulus is provided in the optical path for managing the light. The annulus includes a transparent outer ring enabling the portion of the light to pass from the light source to the surface at the second acute angle; a central transparent section enabling light reflected from the angled surface to pass to the collector along the longitudinal optical axis; and a first light-blocking ring between the outer ring and the central section for blocking excess light from the light source and reflected from the end surface.
