  • Publication number: 20110009710
Abstract: Combination level alarms and alarm persistence for patient monitoring, as well as related methods and apparatus, are disclosed. For a combination level alarm, respective values for multiple physiological conditions are received. A determination is made as to whether the received values satisfy respective alarm criteria for the physiological conditions, and if so, an alarm is raised. An alarm persistence feature involves periodically receiving values of a physiological condition, and determining whether the received values have satisfied an alarm criterion for at least a predetermined portion of a predetermined period of time. If so, an alarm is maintained. Combination alarms and alarm persistence may be implemented individually or together.

  • Patent number: 6516931
Abstract: A freewheel clutch includes detent pawls located between first and second clutch parts. The pawls are moved exclusively by control elements. As a result, the freewheel clutch does not need any spring elements to hold the pawls in place. The control elements are attached to a common actuating ring. The freewheel clutch can be very easily assembled, and only a small amount of force is required to move the pawls.

  • Patent number: 6513405
Abstract: A twist-grip shift mechanism that includes a housing part, a rotating part and a ring disposed in the rotating part. The housing part includes a cylindrical extension and a housing extension. The rotating part is rotatably mounted on the cylindrical extension. The cylindrical extension has tongues with retaining profiles extending from one end of the cylindrical extension for releaseably connecting to the ring. The tongues and the retaining profiles do not extend beyond an outer diameter of the cylindrical extension so that the housing part may be formed by an injection molding process using a single half of an injection mold, thereby eliminating undercuts and other molding inaccuracies.
