  • Publication number: 20240149663
Abstract: The technology disclosed by the invention relates to a pressure vessel system for a motor vehicle for storing fuel, comprising a plurality of pressure vessels (100) that are combined to a pressure vessel assembly (10), the pressure vessels (100), when mounted, being arranged substantially in parallel relative to each other, and the pressure vessels (100) being fluidically interconnected via a common fuel line (200).

  • Publication number: 20030022193
Abstract: A method for the purification and subsequent determination of double-strand DNA in which the DNA is immobilized on a solid phase, wherein during purification the DNA is immobilized on a probe using a residue having an affinity for DNA, whereby the probe itself is bound to a solid phase or is coupled in a later step to a solid phase and the solid phase is the surface of a reaction vessel, a chip or a tip and subsequent further purification for purposes of determination of the DNA is initiated directly using the nucleic acids immobilized on the solid phase.

  • Patent number: 5758906
Abstract: The socket has an essentially cylindrical outer layer of glass fiber-reinforced plastic and a sealing sleeve arranged in a recess in the outer layer. This sealing sleeve has, between the two socket ends, a rib serving as a stop for the ends of the two pipes to be connected to one another. Here, the outer layer forms a first and a second hollow cylindrical, dimensionally stable edge section, the first of which is substantially longer than the second. That end of such a socket which is formed by the longer edge section can be pushed relatively easily onto a first pipe and can also be nondetachably bonded thereto by means of an adhesive. The second pipe having the same diameter can then be inserted into the socket end formed by the shorter edge section. Here, the relatively short edge section makes it possible to insert the second pipe into the socket with a tight seal even when the axes of socket and pipe do not coincide but make a small angle with one another.

  • Patent number: 4844276
Abstract: The invention relates to a vessel for receiving suspensions containing sos such as radioactive liquids. The vessel includes a bottom wall inclined towards an outlet opening formed therein and a spraying arrangement in the vicinity of the inner walls. In order to reliably discharge solid deposits on the bottom of the vessel while using a minimum of flushing liquid, the bottom of the vessel is provided with a channel extending in the direction toward the outlet opening. A flushing tube pointing into the channel is provided at the highest elevation thereof. The solid/liquid mixture is flushed out of the vessel with great effectiveness by means of a directed delivery of the flushing liquid into the channel.

  • Patent number: 4730527
Abstract: A fuel element bundle cutter that has horizontal rod bundle feed. A portion f the radioactive dust that is produced when a rod bundle is cut is picked up by scavenging air and is withdrawn with the latter via the chute for the cut-off rod pieces. The bottom of the lower part of the cutter housing, between the housing wall that faces the rod bundle feed and the side walls of the housing, is embodied as a grating, on the bottom side of which is disposed a base plate to which is connected a withdrawal mechanism that includes at least one collecting funnel and withdrawal channel for the remainder of the radioactive dust, which is conveyed by a portion of the scavenging air from the cutter housing. Each withdrawal channel communicates with the chute for the cut-off rod pieces.

  • Patent number: 4715256
Abstract: Horizontal fuel element bundle shears have a stepped blade and a horizontal agazine for accommodating an undismantled uclear reactor fuel element which is to be cut up. In the fuel element bundle shears, the nuclear reactor fuel element, for the cutting operation to be performed, is pushed with a stepwise movement through a magazine opening in front of which the stepped blade is displaceable in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the fuel element. Each portion of the stepped blade has a cutting edge. In order to achieve a lower rate of wear of the stepped blade while at the same time obtaining a good cut and a low cutting force, the stepped blade has two cutting edges which are separated from each other by a step, thereby forming two blade portions which are in superposed relationship with each other.
