Patent number: 8327501Abstract: A dustpan (1) is provided that includes a base body (2) that has an essentially triangular base area (3). One edge of the base body is constructed as the sweeping edge (4) and the two other edges each have a side wall (5, 6). A stem (7) that projects essentially at a right angle from the base area (3) for proper use can be attached to the base body (2). At least one side wall (5) is constructed as a standing surface.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2007Date of Patent: December 11, 2012Assignee: Carl Freudenberg KGInventors: Peter L. Arnold, Hans Jorg Clemen

Patent number: 8122557Abstract: The invention relates to a broom body (1) having, on its underside facing the surface to be cleaned, at least two cleaning bodies (3, 4) made of different materials. One cleaning body (3) is forted by a foam material body (5), which is non-positively and/or positively joined to the broom body (1). This foam material body (1) can be inserted into the broom body (1) in a manner that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (6) of the broom body (1), and the foam material body (5) has at least one fastening means (7) for positively fastening it to the broom body.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2006Date of Patent: February 28, 2012Assignee: Carl Freudenberg KGInventors: Peter L. Patent number: 7919060Abstract: A substantially moisture-proof, airtight dispenser for both storing and dispensing several flattened articles such as diagnostic test strips. The inventive dispenser includes a novel pivotable housing that a user need merely grab and squeeze to eject a test strip. Independent movement of the user's fingers to push a button or turn a knob is unnecessary to dispense a strip, which makes the present invention well suited for diabetics suffering from nerve damage in their extremities and other complications resulting from the disease. The invention includes a novel flexible arm member and pusher head that engage and push an article from the dispenser as the two parts of the housing are pivoted together. The articles are dispensed through an exit that is configured with a novel flexible seal that maintains the dispenser substantially airtight. Several inventive seal embodiments and methods of making the same are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2009Date of Patent: April 5, 2011Assignee: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.Inventors: Tom Funke, Abner David Joseph, Peter L. Arnold, James Meador, Thomas Miller, Randy Edward Yoder, Daniel Paul Casler
