  • Publication number: 20180285474
Abstract: Disclosed is a system comprising a machine, useful in serving web pages, that provides a publication engine which allows building of dynamic, interactive topic pages on a Brand's site, and further allows the Brand to publish dynamic, interactive topic pages on third-party sites. In an embodiment, the system includes a data store containing data for populating a front end interface and a computer system having at least one server with a physical data processor operatively coupled to the data store.

  • Publication number: 20150302448
Abstract: A system useful for serving web pages is programmed to receive prospective sponsored content from a third party sponsor, identify at least one published topic page and/or curator of published topic pages on the system that is a good candidate to publish the prospective sponsored content on at least one of their topic pages, formulate and make one or more offers of compensation to the identified curators in exchange for publishing and/or curating the prospective sponsored content, receive an indication of acceptance of such offer from at least one curator, identify prospective voters to approve or disapprove the draft sponsored content, publish the sponsored content in a draft version of a topic page and make the draft version available to the prospective voters, receive votes from the prospective voters, and publish the sponsored content on one or more published topic pages of the at least one curator if the content has received at least a predetermined number or percentage of votes.

  • Publication number: 20150302109
Abstract: In an embodiment, the invention provides a system useful in serving web pages that integrate an online digital content service with a publication and interactive discussion engine so as to provide a single outlet for publication of multiple forms of content originating with the artist. In such embodiment, the system may include a data store containing data for populating a front end interface and a series of specific artist pages and a server operatively coupled to the data store. The system is programmed such that, in response to activation of a URL by a first visitor, the front end interface is served over a computer network such as the internet to a computing device under control of the first visitor. The front end interface includes a series of links to the series of corresponding artist pages. In response to activation of one of the links to a particular artist page by the first visitor, the system serves a specific artist page.

  • Patent number: 8676389
Abstract: A wireless base unit communicates with one or more wireless load manager units to receive power measurements for one or more loads connected to the wireless load manager. In response to dynamic variables, such as the changing price of electricity, the wireless base unit transmits commands to the wireless load manager to shut off or reduce power consumed by the one or more loads. In one variation, a wireless adapter also receives commands from the wireless base unit and converts the commands into a vendor-specific format used to control other devices such as a photovoltaic (PV) inverter.
