  • Publication number: 20180263681
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses, systems, and methods for positioning electrodes within a body. In an illustrative embodiment, an apparatus for slidably moving multiple features relative to a sheath inserted into a body and positioned relative to a reference point includes a primary actuator configured to move a primary electrode, a secondary actuator configured to move a secondary electrode, and a control mechanism. The control mechanism is configured to selectively prevent movement of at least one of the primary actuator based on a position of the secondary actuator and of the secondary actuator based on a position of the primary actuator and lock positions of the primary actuator and the secondary actuator.

  • Publication number: 20180036067
Abstract: An electrosurgical instrument includes a needle configured as a first electrode and a coil extending through the needle and configured as a second electrode. The coil is movable relative to the needle, and as the coil is deployed it attains a coiled configuration and a twisted configuration. After the needle and the coil are inserted into tissue and energized with an electrical energy source, the needle and the coil apply current to the tissue to coagulate the tissue.

  • Publication number: 20090223213
Abstract: An improved emission control device as disclosed which is modular in construction and which includes unique and improved mechanical joint connections which obviate the need for costly welding which has been needed in the past. The filter preferably is constructed as a mono-directional unit to avoid the possibility of the filter itself being turned around during supposed maintenance which would result in blowing ash back out into the environment.
