  • Patent number: 11371403
Abstract: A gas turbine engine system is equipped with a tempering system for a selective catalyst reduction system. The subject tempering system for a selective catalyst reduction system comprises a tempering compartment equipped with a plurality of relatively high temperature environment self-supporting pipes, and optionally, a plurality of flow vanes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 6, 2018
Date of Patent: June 28, 2022
    Assignee: GENERAL ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGY GMBH

  • Publication number: 20200078720
Abstract: A fabric filter system (26) useful for filtering a polluted gas to achieve a cleaned gas with a relatively low particulate matter content, including during a period of time from fabric filter bag (32) cleaning up until dust cake formation on the fabric filter bag (32). For such purpose, the subject fabric filter system (26) is equipped with a polluted gas flow damper system (100) to control polluted gas velocity through the fabric filter system (26), particularly for a relatively reduced polluted gas velocity during the period of time from fabric filter bag (32) cleaning up until dust cake formation on the fabric filter bag (32).

  • Patent number: 10449487
Abstract: A method for controlling mercury release, emission and/or re-emission levels in a treated flue gas and a seawater effluent waste stream through control of a sulphite concentration within a seawater scrubber system is disclosed. One method for controlling mercury release, emission and re-emission levels through control of sulphite concentration is to measure the sulphite concentration of seawater entering a seawater scrubber system and comparing the same to a predetermined sulphite concentration value. If the comparison reveals the measured sulphite concentration is above the predetermined sulphite concentration values, the amount of fresh seawater and/or oxidation air supplied to the seawater scrubber system is increased. If the comparison reveals the measured sulphite concentration is below the predetermined sulphite concentration values, the amount of fresh seawater and oxidation air supplied to the seawater scrubber system is decreased.

  • Patent number: 10415834
Abstract: The present application provides a selective catalyst reduction system for use with a combustion gas stream. The selective catalyst reduction system may include a tempering air system with a finger mixer and a number of mixing boxes positioned downstream of the finger mixer and a catalyst positioned downstream of the tempering air system. The tempering air system cools the combustion gas stream and evens out the temperature profile before the combustion gas stream reaches the catalyst.
