  • Publication number: 20100131024
Abstract: An electrotherapy orthopedic device including an electronic capsule and an orthopedic device, together providing a means to supply electrotherapy to damaged bones and tissue or promoting bone ingrowth to the device. A pre-programmed microprocessor delivers an optimal electrotherapy treatment regime, wherein a sequence of pulses form a plurality of waveforms available for specific clinical needs. A waveform, its pulse frequency, pulse width, duration and intensity (in sum, “Waveform Parameters”) are pre-programmed into the microprocessor based on the optimal treatment regimen for any particular disorder.

  • Publication number: 20080097564
Abstract: This invention relates to an electrotherapeutic device useful for treating a variety of aspects associated with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The device is a TENS-like unit that is miniaturized, comfortable and unobtrusive, thereby allowing for unencumbered performance of daily activities. The device houses an electronic circuit comprising optimally placed electrodes and a microprocessor preprogrammed to deliver an optimal stimulus pulse protocol whereby the stimulus pulse parameters are varied so as to deliver a series of stimulus pulses for treating all aspects of CTS, including but not limited to pain blockage, nerve regeneration, reduction in inflammation and biochemical release.

  • Publication number: 20050125040
Abstract: The present invention provides a miniature electrotherapy device having a housing and an embedded electronics module. The electronics module further comprises a preprogrammed microprocessor that is electrically connected to an electrode set for the delivery of optimal electrotherapy to treat viral outbreaks. The microprocessor adjusts the Waveform Parameters at the precise time and to the precise degree for delivering an optimal electrotherapy. Also included is a method for treating viral outbreaks using the invention device. This electrotherapy treatment can be interferential.

  • Publication number: 20050049654
Abstract: This invention relates to an ultralight preprogrammed microprocessor based electrotherapy device. The devices are small and easily worn by a user without disturbing the user's daily activities. In addition, the electrotherapy device has a pre-programmed microprocessor for delivering optimal electrotherapies without the need of adjustment by the user. The electrotherapy device may be a single unit, or it may be numerous units, embodied as subordinate units or slave units all under the control of a lead or master unit.
