  • Publication number: 20260089391
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a Video Management System with automated camera commissioning and load balancing that comprises a processing circuit to discover a camera based on a broadcast message transmitted by the camera. Further, a load estimate pertaining to each of a network video recorder (NVR) from a set of NVRs is determined and the camera is assigned to an NVR from the set of NVRs based on the load estimate. The camera is then configured using predefined configuration settings.

  • Patent number: 12475770
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for controlling access to a restricted area by an access control device includes obtaining a first image using a first sensor mounted at a first location. A second image is obtained using a second sensor mounted at a location different from a location of the first sensor. The second image is processed, using the second sensor, to obtain information regarding the detected objects in the second image. The information regarding the detected objects is sent from the second sensor to the first sensor. The first sensor compares the received information with a number of objects detected using the first image. A tailgating event is identified, in response to determining that the number of objects detected using the first image does not match the information regarding the number of objects detected using the second image. A tailgating notification is outputted, by the first sensor, indicating a tailgating event.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for configuring a camera, comprising generating, for display on a computing device, a graphical user interface (GUI) for configuring a camera, wherein the camera is programmed to visually receive and execute configuration information. The implementations further include receiving, by the GUI, a selection of a network video recorder (NVR) type from a plurality of NVR types. Additionally, the implementations further include determining NVR settings for the camera based on the selection of the NVR type. Additionally, the implementations further include generating, for display on the GUI, a visual representation of the configuration information for the camera, wherein the configuration information comprises the NVR settings.

  • Publication number: 20250095425
Abstract: According to an aspect, an access control system includes a camera, a database configured to maintain facial information, and a processor. The processor is configured to: execute an identification algorithm to identify a subject based on the detected image and the facial information; identify at least one additional subject based on the detected image; determine movement information regarding the subject and the at least one additional subject; perform one or more second factor authentication processes; determine whether the at least one additional subject has permission to move through an access point based on the subject, the at least one additional subject, the movement information, and a likelihood of risk of tailgating; and grant access to the at least one additional subject based on the permission and whether one or more of the identification algorithm or the one or more second factor authentication processes are determined be successful.

  • Publication number: 20240386708
Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for object classification, including executing a multi-class object classification model (OCM) on an input image depicting an object, wherein the multi-class OCM is configured to output, for each respective class of a plurality of classes, a respective confidence score indicative of a likelihood of the object being of a member the respective class. The implementations further include detecting a plurality of confidence scores outputted by the multi-class OCM that are within a threshold range, wherein classes associated with the plurality of confidence scores are candidate classes of the object. Additionally, the implementations further include executing, on the input image, a single-class OCM for each of the candidate classes and outputting a final class for the object in the input image based on a result of each single-class OCM.

  • Patent number: 11962697
Abstract: Disclosed herein are apparatuses and methods for tracking chain of custody of a security camera using blockchain. An implementation may comprise receiving and granting a request for custody of a security camera by a first operator. The implementation further includes generating a block of a blockchain comprising identifiers of the first operator, security camera, and timestamp. The implementation includes distributing the blockchain to a plurality of nodes in a blockchain network. For each indication received of activity associated with usage and custody of the security camera to be recorded on the blockchain, the implementation includes generating a new block on the blockchain recording the activity. The implementation further includes receiving and verifying an authenticity a video clip from the security camera based on each activity recorded in the blockchain. In response to determining that the video clip is not authentic, the implementation includes generating an alert indicating inauthenticity.
