Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a Video Management System with automated camera commissioning and load balancing that comprises a processing circuit to discover a camera based on a broadcast message transmitted by the camera. Further, a load estimate pertaining to each of a network video recorder (NVR) from a set of NVRs is determined and the camera is assigned to an NVR from the set of NVRs based on the load estimate. The camera is then configured using predefined configuration settings.

Abstract: A building security system includes instructions that cause processors to: receive, from a camera, video data, retrieve contextual information associated with the camera, analyze, using one or more artificial intelligence models, frames within the video data, wherein the analysis of the frames includes detection of an object of interest, determine, using the one or more AI models based upon the contextual information and the analysis of the frames, a first setting for the camera for a first time, wherein the first setting determines a first compression amount applied to the video data, and determine, using the one or more AI models based upon the contextual information and the analysis of the one or more frames, a second setting for the camera for a second time, wherein the second setting determines a second compression amount applied to the video data that is different from the first compression amount.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for controlling access to a restricted area by an access control device includes obtaining a first image using a first sensor mounted at a first location. A second image is obtained using a second sensor mounted at a location different from a location of the first sensor. The second image is processed, using the second sensor, to obtain information regarding the detected objects in the second image. The information regarding the detected objects is sent from the second sensor to the first sensor. The first sensor compares the received information with a number of objects detected using the first image. A tailgating event is identified, in response to determining that the number of objects detected using the first image does not match the information regarding the number of objects detected using the second image. A tailgating notification is outputted, by the first sensor, indicating a tailgating event.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for distributing configuration updates to multiple cameras operating on a network. An agent process executing on a node of a video management system can discover multiple cameras connected to a same subnetwork accessible by the agent process, where the agent process can be configured to execute on at least a controller camera of the video management system. The agent process can provide a configuration update to the controller camera for distribution to each of the multiple cameras.
