  • Publication number: 20070289461
Abstract: A printing machine has at least one printing unit on which a web of material, which is to be imprinted, is imprinted by offset printing in a variable cut length. A folder is mounted downstream, in the direction of travel of the printed web, of the at least one printing unit. The folder may be located directly or indirectly from the at least one printing unit and has a variable cut length.

  • Publication number: 20060196380
Abstract: A printing system is used for printing newspapers or for job printing and includes a web-fed press, including an unreeling stand, and one or more printing units for printing a web that is unrolled from a roll at the unreeling stand. A re-rolling stand may be used to wind up the web, after it has passed through the printing units. A separating device forms a second part of the printing system and includes an unreeling stand which can receive a roll of a printed web. The printed web can be unrolled and can be directed to a subassembly from this re-rolling stand. In the subassembly, the further processing of the web can take place at a different time and place, and at a different speed than the original printing of the web.

  • Publication number: 20060097101
Abstract: The invention relates to a guiding element for a strip-producing or strip-processing machine, said guiding element comprising a plurality of openings arranged in its envelope surface, at least in a longitudinal section thereof, essentially over the entire circumference, for the discharge of a pressurised fluid. Said openings are micro-openings having a diameter smaller than 500 ?m. The guiding element can be brought into at least two angular positions in relation to an approaching strip, in which the fluid in the cited longitudinal section flows out of the micro-openings essentially over the entire circumference.

  • Publication number: 20060025295
Abstract: A former is provided for a web-producing or a web-processing machine. The former is structured with a porous material through which a fluid can pass. The porous material is positioned or located on at least one region of the former that is cooperating with a strip of material to be folded.
