  • Publication number: 20150324547
Abstract: A system generates executable prior authorization drug request rules using a compiler. A data repository stores drug criteria. The system is configured to generate a criteria specification user interface that enables a user to specify exclusion criteria, inclusion criteria, preferred or step therapy criteria, concurrent therapy criteria, assessment criteria, quantity limits, and/or refill instructions. A prescription prior authorization rules compiler module is configured to access a criteria specification for the drug from the repository and to automatically compile the criteria specification into executable prescription prior authorization rules. A drug criteria object generation module is configured to generate a drug criteria object for the drug, including drug criteria object identification information, the executable prescription prior authorization rules, a data dictionary, and/or canonical data.

  • Publication number: 20140301789
Abstract: A method for mounting a tidal turbine and an associated support structure in a river or sea bed includes mounting the tidal turbine to a support structure and mounting the support structure upon a base, the base being of such weight as to involve gravitational forces of such magnitude as to be sufficient to withstand forces acting in such manner as to tend to displace the turbine and the associated support structure. A periphery of an underside of the base is provided with expandable members, the expandable members being selectively expanded to position the base more nearly horizontal when in contact with a sea or river bed. The base is formed as a hollow shell enabling the base to be floated into position, and, when the base is in a desired position, sinking the base to the sea or river bed in a controlled manner.

  • Patent number: 8768655
Abstract: According to various embodiments of the invention, systems and methods are provided for analyzing and designing architectural structures. Such embodiments may be utilized by architects and engineers as tools that assist in designing architectural structures that achieve specific design goals, such as those related to sustainability. For example, an embodiment may comprise a system that: (i) provides a sustainability analysis on an architectural structure design created using a computer-assisted design (CAD) tool, and then (ii) applies a design option to that design (e.g., changes to orientation of building on a project site, size of fenestrations on the structure, choice of wall insulation, etc.) to improve its sustainability. In addition, various embodiments may be accessed through a web-based platform, which provides a user with easier access and better collaboration between and among design team members.

  • Publication number: 20140039921
Abstract: Roughly described, a user instantiates protocol elements in a structured clinical trial protocol database and then draws from them in the development of one or more protocol related documents. The system helps the user select tasks to be performed during the study by reference to a historical database of tasks previously associated with similar protocols. The system automatically generates complex content from protocol elements in the database, and can render overlapping sets of protocol elements differently at different locations in the document. The system can automatically provide advisories indicating aspects of the document that still require completion or highlighting other issues that a sponsoring authority deems important for the document type. After all protocol elements are instantiated in the protocol database, it can then be used to drive the operation of most downstream aspects of the study.
