Abstract: A system for simplifying the operation of a household appliance includes a status transmitter for transmitting status data, which describes at least one aspect of a status of the household appliance, and a status receiver for receiving the status data from the status transmitter. A processing unit selects or creates visualizable data on the basis of the received status data, and a display device, which is configured to be placed in front of an eye of a user of the system, then displays the visualizable data. A method for simplifying the operation of a household appliance is also provided.
