  • Publication number: 20220004390
Abstract: A data processing apparatus includes obtain circuitry that obtains a stream of instructions. The stream of instructions includes a barrier creation instruction and a barrier inhibition instruction. Track circuitry orders sending each instruction in the stream of instructions to processing circuitry based on one or more dependencies. The track circuitry is responsive to the barrier creation instruction to cause the one or more dependencies to include one or more barrier dependencies in which pre-barrier instructions, occurring before the barrier creation instruction in the stream, are sent before post-barrier instructions, occurring after the barrier creation instruction in the stream, are sent. The track circuitry is also responsive to the barrier inhibition instruction to relax the barrier dependencies to permit post-inhibition instructions, occurring after the barrier inhibition instruction in the stream, to be sent before the pre-barrier instructions.

  • Patent number: 10569950
Abstract: A package for storing or preparing food or other products includes a flexible pouch within which the product can be sealed, and a box? or other container sized to hold the pouch. To seal the product in the pouch, the pouch includes a peelable seal that seals a portion of a first thermoplastic film to a portion of a second thermoplastic film, such films optionally forming walls of the pouch. The package, including the container and the pouch, is configured for beating the sealed product m ? a microwave oven, in a heated state, pressure inside the pouch increases to expand the pouch, and the container constrains or limits expansion of the pouch in some places but not at an expansion region of the container. A portion of the peelable seal is proximate such region, producing a separation in such peelable sea! portion such that the pouch self-vents through the separation.

  • Patent number: 10255159
Abstract: Dynamic program analysis is decoupled from execution in virtual computer environments so that program analysis can be performed on a running computer program without affecting or perturbing the workload of the system on which the program is executing. Decoupled dynamic program analysis is enabled by separating execution and analysis into two tasks: (1) recording, where system execution is recorded with minimal interference, and (2) analysis, where the execution is replayed and analyzed.

  • Publication number: 20180362238
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a bag-in-box package having a flowable product contained in a thermoplastic bag which is inserted in or encased within an outer relatively rigid box or carton is provided. The box or carton may be constructed from a rigid or semi-rigid plastic or paperboard and has (i) a flat bottom panel, an opposing top panel, and a self-supporting, upstanding wall connecting the bottom and top panels, and (ii) an access port through the box for inserting a rigid implement, such as a drinking straw or other spout/tap therethrough to puncture the bag and withdraw the flowable product from inside the bag. The flowable product occupies less than 100% of the available volume of the bag and the remaining available head-space volume above the product is evacuated or collapsed in order to prevent spillage or leakage of product from the straw or spout when the bag is punctured.

  • Patent number: 9417965
Abstract: A virtualized computer system provides fault tolerant operation of a primary virtual machine. In one embodiment, this system includes a backup computer system that stores a snapshot of the primary virtual machine and a log file containing non-deterministic events occurring in the instruction stream of the primary virtual machine. The primary virtual machine periodically updates the snapshot and the log file. Upon a failure of the primary virtual machine, the backup computer can instantiate a failover backup virtual machine by consuming the stored snapshot and log file.

  • Patent number: 9058420
Abstract: Dynamic program analysis is decoupled from execution in virtual computer environments and is carried out synchronously with program execution. Decoupled dynamic program analysis is enabled by separating execution and analysis into two tasks: (1) recording, where system execution is recorded with minimal interference, and (2) analysis, where the execution is replayed and analyzed. Synchronous decoupled program analysis is enabled by suspending execution or data outputs of the program until a confirmation is received that the analysis is in sync with the program execution.
