  • Patent number: 10995539
Abstract: A clutch mechanism for coupling and uncoupling an electric motor and leadscrew has dog-clutch gears that can be engaged by a linear actuator, bell crank, and linkage shaft. Uncoupling force due to narrowed dog teeth are resisted by the alignment of the linkage shaft with the central portion of the bell crank.

  • Patent number: 8484892
Abstract: An electric door operator for opening and closing one or a spaced pair of transit vehicle passenger doors for being mounted over an opening for the doors. A rotatable input shaft has an electric motor secured to the input shaft for driving the input shaft, a worm centrally positioned on the motor shaft, and an electric brake mounted to the input shaft at an end opposite of the electric motor. A drum cam lifts a pinion from a worm gear disconnecting the worm gear from an output gear train in an emergency.

  • Patent number: 5295412
Abstract: There is disclosed herein a park locking mechanism for a selected gear of a vehicle transmission. The mechanism includes a manually actuatable shift rod, a pivotally mounted pawl lever for selectively engaging the gear, a rod assembly operatively connected to the pawl lever, a rotatable rod operatively connected to the shift rod, an actuating lever secured to the rotatable rod for rotation therewith, "lock" and "unlock" recesses formed in the distal end of the actuating lever, spring-loaded lug means for alternately engaging said recesses, and an opening formed in the actuating lever for connection with the rod assembly for pivoting the pawl lever into engagement with said selected gear when the PARK mode is selected by the operator.

  • Patent number: 4512534
Abstract: A locking mechanism for the reels of a tape cassette includes a pair of reel locks which are rotatable between reel engaging and disengaging positions and a spring on each of the reel locks for returning the reel locks to their reel engaging positions. The spring includes a resilient arm having one end which is formed in integral, one-piece relationship to a bushing of each of the reel locks, the bushing permitting rotation of the reel locks. The resilient arm of each reel lock extends at an angle to each of the reel locks and the other end of each arm is free and unattached and the arms slidably engage stationary portions of the cassette housing to cause the spring return action.

  • Patent number: 4466583
Abstract: A latch for the door of a tape cassette includes a latching member for latching the door closed. The latching member is mounted for rotation about an axis between latching and unlatching positions. A spring, including a resilient arm, urges the latching member toward the latching position. One end of the arm is formed in integral, one-piece relationship to the latching member and the opposite end of the arm is free, but bears against a wall in one of the cassette housing halves on the side of the latching member in the direction of rotation toward the unlatching direction. In one embodiment of latch, the end of the arm which is attached to the latching member is located between the axis of rotation and the opposite free end of the arm.
