Abstract: A printer that performs an off-media calibration routine. The printer can receive a user request to print a document, where the document includes a color. The printer can print the document on a print medium. The printer can perform an on-media measurement of the color as printed on the print medium. The printer can perform an off-media measurement of the color as printed on an internal surface of the printer. The printer can use the on-media measurement and the off-media measurement to update a correlation that is used in the off-media calibration routine.

Abstract: Systems, methods and devices, including program instructions, are provided for improving halftoning techniques. One method includes receiving continuous tone (contone) image pixel data and assigning a color within the contone image pixel data to a color channel associated with a hybrid halftoner.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a color calibration method includes rendering a color image, in response to a user selecting an adjustment to a color in the image, making a perceptually uniform adjustment to the color in the image, and rendering an adjusted color image reflecting the adjustment made to the color in the image.
