Abstract: A method and a diagnostic device for a printing press are described, wherein data is automatically transmitted by a central data processor of the printing press to a locally distanced central data processor when a threshold value is upwardly transgressed, downwardly transgressed or reached. The data is preferably assessed prior to the evaluation and/or the transmission to the remote central data processor. In this way, a simple telediagnostic service of the printing press is possible.

Abstract: A method for exposing a printing form includes providing a plurality of exposure channels disposed in a two-dimensional array, and inputting energy, by the exposure channels of a column of the array, for an image element on the printing form. Further included are steps for activating a first row of the array of exposure channels for producing a first component of the input of energy assigned to each column of the array in one row of image elements, moving the printing form relative to the exposure channels, and activating a second row of the array of exposure channels for producing a second component of the input of energy assigned to each column of the array when a point of projection of the exposure channel of a second row of the array comes to lie on the image element of the row already exposed by the exposure channel of the first row and the same column. A device for implementing the method and a printing unit and a printing press including the device are also provided.

Abstract: An apparatus for producing a printing form includes a device for feeding a printing-form blank to a circumferential surface of a rotatable cylinder, a device for releasably fixing the printing-form blank to the circumferential surface, and a device for producing ink-accepting image points or pixels on the surface of the printing-form blank in accordance with a printing image. The pixel-producing device has a device for treating the printing-form blank with a medium stored in a container. The container is disposed so as to be movable relative to the cylinder.

Abstract: The device for supplying printing plates to plate cylinders of printing machines includes elements for holding and for guiding printing plates. The plates can thereby be supplied to at least two different plate cylinders. The plate-holding assembly can thereby be pivoted into at least two different plate changing positions for feeding (and removing) printing printing plates at at least two printing units.

Abstract: A circuit arrangement for operating a computer, having at least one working register into which and out of which information, under specific addresses, can be read, and a readback device for a feedback occurring in a program step whereby the last-written information is fed back to a processor of the computer. The circuit arrangement includes at least one feedback register to which the working register is assigned. A device is provided for writing the respective information under the same address both to the working register and also to the feedback register for storage therein and for writing new information. A device forwards the information stored in the feedback register to the processor.

Abstract: Method for measuring absolute rotation with the aid of a light conductive fiber ring interferometer including a light source, a beam dividing arrangement, a light path formed by a light conductive fiber coil, an optical phase modulator which is disposed in the light path and which modulates the light circulating in the light path with a periodic, optical phase modulation at a fundamental frequency f.sub.0, and a photodetector for providing an electrical output signal. The light circulating in the light path or an electrical output signal from the photodetector is modulated with at least one mixing frequency f.sub.2 in a manner such that an electrical evaluation signal results which has an evaluation frequency f.sub.1 which is smaller than that of the fundamental frequency f.sub.0 and which is evaluated to determine the absolute rotation of interest.

Abstract: A high-resolution Bragg-cell receiver for monitoring and/or analyzing the frequency of RF signals comprises a lightwave guide arrangement with discrete photodiodes coupled thereto which is substituted for a photodiode array. The guide has closely spaced inlets for light from the Bragg-cell and fanned-out outlets for coupling to the discrete photodiodes.
