Abstract: An aspiration catheter including a body having a proximal end and an opposite distal tip with a lumen extending in a longitudinal direction therethrough from the proximal end to the distal tip. The aspiration catheter further includes a stabilizing structural member stabilizing the body relative to the inner wall of the vessel to minimize movement and/or radial expansion of the distal tip of the body while subject to aspiration that otherwise may potentially damage the inner wall of the vessel.

Abstract: A one way valve for exhaling or evacuating air from containers, such as storage bags for preserving food and other items. The one way valve device is attached or sealed airtight to the body of the bag's outer surface wherein the one way valve is centrally positioned over a hole created on the surface of the bag. The hole forms a passage for the air to be evacuated from the interior of the bag to be led to the one way valve device. The one way valve device is made of a composition that remembers its original form, the form of the device having at least two component arms that meet with a sealing male and female format that separates and opens to allow any and all of the air from the interior of the bag to be released through the use of human applied pressure against the bag flexible structure, thereby evacuating the air from the interior of the bag.

Abstract: Orthopedic bone cements of low porosity, prepared by mixing together at least two liquid components under conditions that allow only minimal exposure to air, are disclosed. In a preferred system, each liquid component consists essentially of a solution of a linear (non-crosslinked) polymer or copolymer of methyl methacrylate (PMMA) dissolved in a non-crosslinking methyl methacrylate (MMA) monomer, with one such solution also containing an activator and a polymerization inhibitor and a second solution containing an initiator as well as a polymerization inhibitor. No reinforcing fillers are present, although a small amount (no more than 12% by weight of the total cement composition) of a radiopacifier may be included in the composition.
