  • Patent number: 8035465
Abstract: A cavity resonator having temperature compensation which comprises a pot and a cover, which together enclose a cavity resonance volume. The pot comprises a first material, which has a first temperature expansion coefficient and the cover comprises a second material, which has a second temperature expansion coefficient. The second temperature expansion coefficient is greater than the first temperature expansion coefficient, and an expansion of the pot and a deformation of the cover results upon a temperature increase, which each independently and also together cause an enlargement of the cavity resonance volume. Simultaneously, the resonance frequency remains essentially constant.

  • Publication number: 20090278631
Abstract: A cavity resonator (20) having temperature compensation which comprises a pot (21) and a cover (22), which together enclose a cavity resonance volume (V). The pot (21) comprises a first material, which has a first temperature expansion coefficient (?1) and the cover (22) comprises a second material, which has a second temperature expansion coefficient (?2). The second temperature expansion coefficient (?2) is greater than the first temperature expansion coefficient (?1), and an expansion of the pot (21) and a deformation of the cover (22) results upon a temperature increase, which each independently and also together cause an enlargement of the cavity resonance volume (V). Simultaneously, the resonance frequency remains essentially constant.

  • Patent number: 7567417
Abstract: The invention relates to an automatically quenching surge arrester arrangement with a surge arrester, which, on exceeding a given first voltage, transforms from a non-conducting into a conducting state and returns to the non-conducting state only when a much smaller second voltage is dropped below and with a switch mechanism reacting to current flow through the surge arrester, interrupting the current flow through the surge arrester and then automatically returning to the rest condition thereof. A simple, robust and compact assembly suitable for HF applications for such a surge arrester arrangement is achieved, whereby the switch mechanism reacts reversibly to the heat generated in the surge arrester by the current flow.

  • Publication number: 20080252552
Abstract: Antenna (10) with several radiating elements (14). The antenna (10) comprises a back wall (11), which is made of composite materials and acts as a carrier for the internal elements a) and b) of the antenna (10). A radome (12), which consists of a thin, hard shell, serves as a cover, which can be connected with a connecting area of the back wall (11), so as to form housing together with the back wall (11). Additionally a foam core (15) is provided in the antenna. The following elements of the antenna are hermetically protected in the antenna housing: a) one or more radiating elements (14), and b) a circuit board (13) for receiving the radiating elements (14).

  • Patent number: 7325979
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for removably connecting two groups of individual, parallel fibers that are delimited by end faces that are perpendicular to the fiber axis. The two groups of fibers are moved towards each other in an axial direction until each of the fibers abuts against the end face of the assigned fiber from the other group. The fibers of the two groups are aligned in pairs relative to each other before being moved into contact with each other, and any differences in fiber lengths is compensated for by elastically deforming the fiber along the fiber main axis. This method eliminates the disadvantages associated with bending the fibers because length variations are essentially compensated for by axially compressing the fibers.

  • Patent number: 6995732
Abstract: An antenna (10) having an emitter element which is positioned in front of a conductive reflector (13) and has a three-dimensional cast part. The cast part is implemented as conductive and has a closed peripheral structure (11) having alternating constrictions and bulges. The peripheral structure (11) spans an imaginary surface (14) which is intersected by at least two planes of symmetry (15.1, 15.3) of the cast part. At least two fastening elements (12.1, 12.2) are provided, which extend essentially perpendicular to the imaginary surface (14) and support the peripheral structure (11) at two points which lie on one of the planes of symmetry (15.1; 15.3). At the lower ends (16), the fastening elements (12.1, 12.2) are connected to the reflector (13), the fastening elements (12.1, 12.2) also being used for electrical excitation of the emitter element.

  • Patent number: 6437659
Abstract: A cost-effective push-pull arrangement for distributing the power output of the signal from the mixing/local oscillator, so that the transistors are able to be modulated with the same power and with 180° phase shift, and so that, in spite of manufacturing tolerances of the transistor parameters, the signal is effectively decoupled from the other signal gates of the circuit.
