  • Publication number: 20190254850
Abstract: Systems and methods for stent deployment are provided. One system includes a delivery subsystem having a nose tip coupled with a sheath such that the nose tip and sheath are movable together, wherein the sheath is configured to receive therein a stent for deployment. The stent surrounds an inner shaft of the delivery subsystem. The system further includes an actuating subsystem configured to advance the sheath along the inner shaft from a proximal to distal direction to deliver the stent in a reverse deploy direction.

  • Publication number: 20170202568
Abstract: A balloon arrangement that includes a balloon layer having a base layer formed of polymer material and a cage independent from the balloon layer. The cage is braided. Additionally, a method for treating tissue includes inserting a balloon arrangement into a subject having the tissue, pressurizing the balloon arrangement so as to expand a diameter of the balloon layer and/or the braided cage, removing and/or moving the tissue and retracting the balloon arrangement.

  • Patent number: 8636791
Abstract: This invention is a modular intraluminal tubular stent system for deployment in the venous system. One of the stents in the system includes a reinforced terminal end portion, such as a helical coil, to provide additional expansive force to maintain the initial deployed location of the stent. The coil may be interwoven into the wall of the stent, or a separate structure deployed separately.

  • Patent number: 8257265
Abstract: A method of diagnosing an obstructive lesion in the iliac venous system. The method includes the steps of identifying the presence of chronic venous disease from clinical evaluation alone of a patient, and without any further evaluation, undertaking an IVUS procedure on the patient to identify any non-thrombotic or thrombotic iliac vein lesions.

  • Patent number: 8252010
Abstract: A method for removing a clot using and inserting a catheter balloon assembly, having proximal and distal ends including a catheter carrying a remotely inflatable occlusion balloon and another catheter carrying a mechanical device for moving a clot, into patient on one side of clot; a balloon-collared sheath, having a collar sheath with proximal and distal ends, the collar sheath having an open interior, and sealing valve for sealing the interior of the collar sheath, and inflatable collar balloon, disposed on the exterior distal end of said collar sheath, inserted on other side of clot; a suction module, having a suction sheath having proximal and distal ends, the suction sheath having an open interior, and sized to be inserted in a vein, attachable to a suction device. The balloons are inflated and the mechanical device is positioned near the clot, toward the balloon collared sheath towards the suction device.
