Abstract: A method for showing a user navigating to a first website a collection of other websites relating to the first website comprising: identifying a first, second and third user having navigated to the first website; collecting navigation history tails from the first, second and third users, the navigation history tails identify websites navigated to by the first, second and third users, the navigation history tails further have an identification of each of the users; combining the navigation history tails to form a cumulative navigation history tail; generating a rank of some of the websites identified in the cumulative navigation history tail, the rank indicating a popularity of some of the websites identified in the cumulative navigation history tail; and providing the rank to an applet so the applet can generate an indication of websites based on the rank.

Abstract: A system and method for calculating recommendations for a user is described. One embodiment includes a method for identifying users that are performing actions related to actions performed by a primary user, the method comprising: identifying an action performed by the primary user; identifying secondary users who performed the action; identifying actions performed by the secondary users; selecting a relevant action included in the identified actions performed the secondary users; identifying at least one secondary user that recently performed the selected relevant action; identify the action currently being performed by the identified secondary user; and providing a recommendation to user, the recommendation including an indication of the identified secondary user and the identified action.

One embodiment includes a method for collecting actions performed by a plurality of secondary users; calculating correlations between the collected actions; generating a record of the collected actions and the corresponding calculated correlations; receiving an indication of a first action from a primary user; identify a second action from the generated record that is correlated with the first action; identifying a secondary user from the plurality of secondary users that has performed the second action; determining whether the secondary user is performing a secure action; and if the secondary user is not performing a secure action, providing a recommendation to the primary user, the recommendation including an identification of the secondary user.
