  • Publication number: 20060094353
Abstract: A method for providing an international telecommunication number comprising a plurality of digits corresponding to at least a country code, from a mobile telecommunication terminal to a base station, is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a plurality of digits in a control unit in the mobile telecommunication terminal, said digits identifying a subscriber terminal in a telecommunication network, and determining if one or more of the plurality of digits correspond to a country code. If the one or more of the plurality of digits do not correspond to a country code, an international telecommunication number is created by adding a country code to the plurality of digits, whereupon the international telecommunication number is transferred to the base station.

  • Publication number: 20050161164
Abstract: By providing projections extending outwardly from the base of a wet tamping face of a tamping labeler, which projections maintain at least a substantial portion of a label at a stand off from said base, the surface tension between the label and tamping face is reduced. This reduction in surface tension helps ensure that when a label is tamped against a product, it remains there. The tamping face may be provided with a regular, or irregular, pattern of projections, or with a texture that results in the projections.

  • Publication number: 20050127929
Abstract: An electrical feedback detection system for detecting electrical contact between a multi-point probe and an electrically conducting material test sample surface. The electrical feedback detection system comprises an electrical detector unit connected to a multitude of electrodes in the multi-point probe, and optionally directly to the test sample surface. The detector unit provides an electrical signal to a multi-point testing apparatus, which can be used to determine if the multi-point probe is in electrical contact with the test sample surface. The detector unit comprises an electrical generator means for generating an electrical signal that is driven through a first multitude of electrodes of the multi-point probe, and a second multitude of switched impedance detection elements. The electrical potential across the impedance detection elements determines the electrical contact to the test sample surface.

  • Publication number: 20050109443
Abstract: A product labelling apparatus has a plurality of labellers, an imager for imaging products; and a processor responsive to an output of the imager and operatively connected to a control input of each of the labellers. The processor processes an image received from the imager to identify a portion of a product which portion will pass a target area of a given labeller. The processor then tracks progress of that portion of the product and controls an appropriate one of the labellers to label the portion of the product when that portion of the product is at the target area of the given labeller.

  • Publication number: 20050090280
Abstract: A wireless communication terminal has a user exchangeable cover part. The wireless communication terminal and user exchangeable cover part are electrically interconnected by means of an electrical connector. The user exchangeable cover part comprises identification means. The user exchangeable cover part has an electric circuitry for supporting a user interface of the wireless terminal. The wireless terminal identifies the user exchangeable cover part by detecting the identification means. • Patent number: 6884078
Abstract: A test, system, and method for testing parietal lobe function in a subject, wherein the method includes displaying to a subject a first ordered array of objects having a variety of colors, which the subject is prompted to name. The named object colors are compared with the correct object colors, and a count is maintained of errors in the named object colors and an interval taken by the subject to complete naming the object colors, these numbers compared with predetermined data for determining a possible parietal lobe function deficiency. An analogous test is performed of shape-naming, and, in a preferred embodiment, of color and shape naming. A practice test administration is also described, as well as a software-driven administration and scoring of the test.

  • Patent number: 6868694
Abstract: A drinking vessel includes an interior portion that holds pellets or chips of dry ice that cool a beverage in the glass while the beverage is being consumed. The interior portion can be a part of the glass or it can be a detached piece usable in different vessels. Either way the interior portion includes holes that allow the beverage to freely flow around the dry ice while the holes are small enough to prevent the dry ice from entering the portion of the vessel where it could be accidentally consumed.
