The release agent contains release-active substances such as one or more oils, waxes, silicones and/or soaps, and optionally emulsifiers and other conventional additives in a carrier. The latter carrier is a mixture of at least one hydrocarbon and water. Said mixture being in the form of a water-in-oil dispersion.
