  • Publication number: 20240116382
Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods related to an electric vehicle charging arrangement. An example method executed by a first computer can include evaluating an agreement between a first party associated with an electric vehicle and a second party associated with a property in which the first computer can be located. The method can further include granting to a second computer of the electric vehicle, an authorization to permit the electric vehicle to enter the property of the second party during a time slot defined in the agreement; and granting, to the electric vehicle, access to an electric vehicle charging station on the property during the time slot defined in the agreement. The time slot, which is available for use on a repetitive basis over a stipulated period of time, can be outside of business hours of an activity performed by the second party on the property.

  • Patent number: 11945330
Abstract: Systems and methods may coordinate and provide bidirectional energy transfer events between electrified vehicles and households or other structures, such as for supporting transient loads associated with the households/structures, for example. Vehicle information, driving habit information, and household information may be leveraged for providing enhanced transient load capability controls that permit increased appliance usage without increasing energy costs. The proposed systems/methods may particularly allow for bidirectional energy transfer support of high load appliances for increasing a user's comfort, pleasure, and convenience.

  • Patent number: 11916429
Abstract: A power system includes a bidirectional power transfer inverter that receives grid power and can be electrically connected with electric vehicle supply equipment, and an auxiliary battery electrically connected with the bidirectional power transfer inverter and that supplies power to the bidirectional power transfer inverter and electric vehicle supply equipment while the grid power is unavailable.

  • Patent number: 11912348
Abstract: A vehicle is provided that includes a sensor arrangement configured to sense one or more regions proximate to an exterior of the vehicle, and a controller configured to process signals generated by the sensor arrangement and to detect and generate a geometric profile of a trailer in the one or more regions proximate to the exterior of the vehicle, the controller further determining an air resistance of the trailer based on the geometric profile and calculating an expected driving range of the vehicle based on the detected air resistance.

  • Patent number: 10979165
Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to optical networking. In one example of the technology, a layer one optical connection between an edge node and a first cloud data center node along a reserved spectrum is controlled. Controlling the layer one optical connection between the edge node and the first cloud data center node includes controlling photonics along the reserved spectrum in an optical path from the edge node to a stub of an optical route node. The optical route node is in an optical route between the first cloud data center node and a second cloud data center node. Controlling the layer one optical connection between the edge node and the first cloud data center node also includes controlling photonics along the reserved spectrum from the optical route node to the first data center node.

  • Publication number: 20120214710
Abstract: A method of predicting response to thalidomide, or thalidomide analogs, in an individual with cancer, especially cancers for which thalidomide has been implicated as a treatment, such as Multiple Myeloma (MM) employs one or more of a panel of biomarkers that have been shown to be differentially expressed in cancer patients that respond to thalidomide (hereafter “Responders”) relative to cancer patients that do not respond to thalidomide (hereafter “Non-responders). The method involves assaying a biological sample from the individual to determine the abundance of at least three biomarkers including Vitamin-D binding protein precursor (VDB) (Sequence ID 1) and Serum amyloid A protein (SAA) (Sequence ID 3), and at least one of beta-2-microglobulin (B2M) (Sequence ID 4), Haptoglobin (Hp) precursor (fragment) (Sequence ID 5), and zinc-alpha-2-glycoprotein (ZAG) (Sequence ID 2).
