  • Publication number: 20240102082
Abstract: A method of assigning parent-of-origin to a haplotype, a sub-haplotype or an allele associated with a haplotype. Chromosome-length haplotypes of a genome are generated and a differential methylation status of at least one imprinted differentially methylated region (iDMR) associated with each one of the autosomal chromosomes is determined. The differential methylation status of the at least one iDMR is used to assign parent-of-origin for each one of the chromosome-length haplotypes.

  • Patent number: 10028803
Abstract: A tool setting device includes a base body having longitudinally opposite base top and bottom surfaces laterally bounded by at least one base side surface. At least one setting aperture extends from the base top surface longitudinally downward at least partially through the base body. An elongate setting support slidably fits into a corresponding setting aperture. The setting support includes indicia and a tool engaging feature. A support holding feature is provided for maintaining a longitudinal position of the setting support with respect to the setting aperture. The tool engaging feature is positioned at a predetermined longitudinal distance above the base top surface. The predetermined longitudinal distance bears a direct relationship to the indicia. The tool engaging feature is maintained at the predetermined longitudinal distance through engagement of the setting support with the support holding feature. A method of transferring numerical setting information to a tool is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060215744
Abstract: A test system is capable of performing parallel modulation error measurement of transceivers using a loop-back configuration. Each transceiver includes a transmitter and a receiver. A signal generator generates a first modulated signal for input to the receivers of the transceivers. A tester is operable to measure a first demodulation error produced by the receiver in response to the first modulated signal and to measure a modulation error of the transmitter based on the first demodulation error and a second demodulation error. The second demodulation error is produced by the receiver in response to a second modulated signal generated by the transmitter and coupled from the transmitter to the receiver.

  • Publication number: 20060155520
Abstract: A multi-component production devices in accordance with a device design having performance specifications is made by a method comprising receiving respective component behavioral models of the production components constituting the production device; combining the component behavioral models in accordance with the device design to form a device behavioral model; and, prior to assembling the production device, and predicting performance metrics for the production device by performing simulated tests on the device behavioral model.

  • Publication number: 20030191990
Abstract: The bit error ratio of digital data transmission equipment is measured by applying a bit error ratio test data stream to a signal path through the equipment, and coupling an interfering signal source into the signal path. Measurements of the bit error ratio of the equipment are acquired for different levels of interfering signal, and the gain error introduced by coupling the interfering signal source into the signal path is determined. The bit error ratio of the equipment in the absence of the interfering signal is estimated from the measurements of the bit error ratio and the gain error.

  • Patent number: 4153395
Abstract: In screw compressors for fluids there is normally leakage of fluid axially through the rotor-shaft bearing assemblies at the high-pressure end of the casing housing the interacting rotors. To obviate or mitigate the resulting inefficiency in the operation of the compressor, and also reduce atmosphere pollution arising from the leakage, a fluid coupling is provided between said bearing assemblies and an additional fluid inlet opening in the compressor casing, said additional opening being positioned to communicate with a land of the rotor when the rotor is at or beyond rotor cut-off, so that fluid leaking from the compression chamber is recirculated to the compression chamber.
