  • Patent number: 10369074
Abstract: A massage system includes a common line, first and second restrictors for flow, an air pump, and first and second pairs of air cells. The line includes, and extends between, first and second portions. The line alternately flows supply and venting air. The first and second restrictors are in series along the line for controlling the alternating flow of the supply and venting air. The air pump provides the supply air, and is in communication with the second portion. The first pair of air cells is in communication with, and individually branches off from, the first portion. The second pair of air cells is in communication with, and individually branches off from, the line between the first and second portions. The second restrictor is disposed between the second pair of air cells and the pump, and the first restrictor is disposed between the first and second pair of air cells.

  • Publication number: 20160213553
Abstract: The present invention provides a massage system for a vehicle seat comprising a plurality of inflatable air cells arranged in a series of subsequent air cells, a supply line structure from and to each of the air cells, a pump for supplying air under pressure to the supply line structure, a control or switch unit for controlling the operation of the pump, venting means for venting the supply line structure, means for controlling air flow to and from the air cells to provide a sequential inflation/deflation along said series of air cells. The means for controlling air flow are provided by a plurality of flow restrictors having reduced flow cross-sections that are arranged in such a manner that between each pair of subsequent air cells a flow restrictor is disposed in the supply line structure.

  • Publication number: 20070120400
Abstract: The invention relates to a seat construction comprising a seat cushion part and a backrest part, and: a presence sensor for detecting at least the presence of a person or an object placed in the said seat construction, means for ventilating the seat construction comprising at least one duct through the said presence sensor and at least one air passage through the rest of the seat construction, and a device for feeding an air current through the said air passage and through the said duct for ventilation of a predetermined region adjacent to the seat construction. According to the invention, the seat construction comprises a layer of an air-distributing material disposed between the said presence sensor and the said air-current-feeding device, whereby a flow path is provided for the said air current through the air passage, the duct, the said layer of air-distributing material and the said air-current-feeding device.

  • Publication number: 20070063551
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for ventilation of a vehicle seat, which arrangement comprises an air-distributing material and an electric heating element comprising at least one electrically conductive component arranged in a pattern in conjunction with at least one support, where the vehicle seat comprises a bottom part which is adapted for ventilation by blowing air in or sucking air out via at least one passage through the bottom part and on through the said air-distributing material. According to the invention, the said support, heating element and air-distributing material are manufactured as an integrated arrangement adapted for mounting in conjunction with the said vehicle seat, the said air-distributing material being designed as at least one unit which is dimensioned for mounting in a correspondingly designed cutout in the vehicle seat. By means of the invention, an improved arrangement for heating and ventilation of a seat in a vehicle is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6792671
Abstract: Method for production and application of a heating element for heating in vehicles where the heating element consists of heating wire defining at least one electric heating loop extending in a predetermined pattern including positioning the heating wire onto one side of a carrier; applying adhesive over the carrier, at least over areas where the heating wire is lying and over the heating wire, so the heating wire adheres to the surface of the carrier; transporting the carrier with the heating wire to a substrate, wherein the heating wire is adjacent to the substrate; pressing the heating wire against the substrate; heating and melting the adhesive to separate the heating wire from the carrier leaving the heating wire adhered to the substrate; and, removing the carrier, so the heating wire is released from the carrier and adheres to the substrate, to form the heating element for heating in the vehicle.
