Abstract: Personalized information is transferred from a first hand portable phone having a first memory means for storing said personalized information to a second hand portable phone having a second memory means for storing said personalized information. A connection between said first hand portable phone and a computer on which a data transfer application is running is established. The data transfer application on said computer is controlled to read said personalized information from said first memory means to store the personalized information in said first hand portable phone in memory means associated with said data transfer application in said computer. Then a connection between said second hand portable phone and said computer on which said data transfer application is running is established.

Abstract: The invention relates to a communicating system comprising a data terminal, a wireless communication device, and data transmission means for setting up a local data transmission connection between the data terminal and the wireless communication device. The data transmission means comprise a data transmission means of the data terminal and a data transmission means of the wireless communication device. The data terminal comprises means for running application software, an application software connection, means for controlling the data transmission means of the data terminal, and a first connection interface for data transmission between the application and the application programming interface. The data transmission system comprises also a data adapter, a second connection interface for data transmission between the application programming interface and the data adapter, and one or several media interfaces for data transmission between the data adapter and the data transmission means of the data terminal.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for delivering multimedia content within the mobile world is provided. One embodiment is based on the definition of a smart content object, or content package format, along with provision for specifying meta-information about the digital rights associated with the content. The format is defined in terms of two alternative MIME content subtypes. The first is defined for delivering clear-text, XML representation of the content package. The other is defined for deliverying binary, WBXML representation of the content package. The clear-text MIME type is useful in robust network environments that are not sensitive to limitations, such as were bandwidth can be a limiting factor on application deployment (e.g., the mobile world).
