  • Patent number: 7414043
Abstract: This invention describes the new 9?-substituted estratrienes of general formula I in which R3, R7, R7?, R13, R16 as well as R17 and R17? have the meanings that are indicated in the description and R9 means a straight-chain or branched-chain, optionally partially or completely halogenated alkenyl radical with 2 to 6 carbon atoms, an ethinyl or prop-1-inyl radical, as pharmaceutical active ingredients that exhibit in vitro a higher affinity to estrogen receptor preparations from rat prostates than to estrogen receptor preparations from rat uteri and in vivo preferably a preferential action on the ovary in comparison to the uterus, their production, their therapeutic use and pharmaceutical dispensing forms that contain the new compounds. The invention also describes the use of these compounds for treating estrogen-deficiency-induced diseases and conditions.

  • Patent number: 7414776
Abstract: A display medium for an electrophoretic display device includes a liquid system, at least one thermally reversible gelling agent, and at least one set of particles exhibiting a color. Inclusion of the gelling agent enables an image formed in the display device at an elevated temperature of about or above the melting point of the gelling agent to be fixed in a gel state, e.g., at temperature of about or below a gel point of the gelling agent. The image thus has stability, even in the absence of an applied electrophoretic field.

  • Patent number: 7414436
Abstract: A circuit that has a limited switch dynamic logic gate having a front end logic circuit and a latch. The output of the front end logic circuit is connected to an input of the latch, and the front end logic circuit evaluates a set of input signals applied to the front end logic circuit to generate an output signal. The latch receives and holds the output signal. The circuit also has a logic circuit having an output connected to a clock input in the front end logic circuit. The logic circuit generates a modified clock signal in response to receiving a clock signal from a clock source, and the modified clock signal has a duration that provides a minimum period of time for the front end logic to evaluate the set of input signals and generate the output signal.

  • Patent number: 7414504
Abstract: A solenoid plunger for use in solenoid driven multi-line embossing systems is constructed of magnetic steel laminations that are attached to a center block which is machined to mount a solenoid shaft and anti-rotate pins. The laminations are attached to the center block with screws and vacuum epoxy glued for a very high cycle life. The laminated steel construction dramatically reduces eddy currents, which allows the magnetic field to rise and fall much more quickly than a conventional steel plunger. It also increases the magnetic force in the solenoid. This reduction in solenoid plunger eddy currents and increase of magnetic force in the solenoid structure itself operates to increase embosser throughput. The laminated steel construction further reduces embosser solenoid heating which also contributes to improved embossing control.

  • Patent number: 7412781
Abstract: The air nozzle attachment (8) for the hair dryer (2) is connectable to the blower opening (7) of the hair dryer and produces a hot-air stream (9) and a cold-air stream (10) that are arranged side-by-side. The air nozzle attachment (8) has a hot-air nozzle (13) and a cold-air nozzle (14) located side-by-side and, on an end connectable to the blower opening (7), has a central conduit entrance (11) and a coaxial conduit entrance (12), which open into the hot-air nozzle (13) and the cold-air nozzle (14) respectively. The air nozzle attachment (8) can be detached again from the dryer (2) and preferably has a snap-on coupling device (18) for connecting the air nozzle attachment to the dryer (2), which permits rotation of the air nozzle attachment.

  • Patent number: 7413158
Abstract: A shock-absorbing platform includes a bottom plate and a top plate joined to one another along at least two sides by elongate rigid links that enable the plates to remain in parallel relation to one another as the plates are displaced responsive to externally-imparted forces. An air spring resists relative vertical motion between the bottom and top plates as external forces are applied to the platform. A shock-absorbing damper damps the natural oscillation of the air spring. The resistance presented by the air spring is adjustable through an inlet and outlet port in fluid communication with a remote source of air under pressure. In a second embodiment, a seat bottom includes arched leaf springs that supplant the air spring to increase the range of relative movement between the top and bottom plates and to lower the profile of the seat bottom.

  • Patent number: 7414626
Abstract: A system that passes algorithms or functions between dependency nodes of a dependency graph in a graphic creation process system using a pointer or by passing a self-evaluating data structure. An evaluation process associated with the graph includes an ability to distinguish between passed parameters based on type where one of the types allowed is a function type and types are identified dynamically as the dependency graph is executed. The node receiving the algorithm executes the received algorithm along with it's own algorithm avoiding the necessity of traversing the graph multiple times when a data series is executed. The system also provides a mapping that allows parameters of the function to be reordered to match the source and destination function requirements. Default values allow evaluation even when less than all parameters associated with the function are passed. Mapping flags allow passed parameters to be ignored.

  • Patent number: 7415575
Abstract: A cache shared by multiple clients implements a client specific policy for replacing entries in the event of a cache miss. A request from any client can hit any entry in the cache. For purposes of replacing entries, at least of the clients is restricted, and when a cache miss results from a request by the restricted client, the entry to be replaced is selected from a fixed subset of the cache entries. When a cache misses results from a request by any client other than the restricted client, any cache entry, including a restricted entry, can be selected to be replaced.

  • Patent number: 7413951
Abstract: A method produces stacked capacitors for dynamic memory cells, in which a number of trenches (48) are formed in the masking layer (40), each trench (48) being arranged above a respective contact plug (26) and extending from the top (42) of the masking layer (40) to the contact plugs (26). A conductive layer (50) covers the side walls (49) of the trenches (48) and the contact plugs (26) in order to form a first electrode (60) of a stacked capacitor (12). In an upper region (63), which is remote from the contact stack (26), the conductive layer (50) is replaced by an insulating layer, so that it is not possible for a short circuit to arise in the event of any adhesion between adjacent electrodes.
