  • Publication number: 20190239944
Abstract: A surgical instrument includes an elongated shaft having a proximal structural member and a proximal drive member that is selectively movable with respect to the proximal structural member. A modular end effector is removably coupled to the elongated shaft, and has a distal structural member and a distal drive member that is operatively coupled to a pair of jaw members. A separable joint is defined between the elongated shaft and the end effector. The separable joint includes laterally prominent and laterally indented portions of each of the proximal and distal structural members and of each of the proximal and distal drive members. The structural members are interlocked to resist longitudinal separation and permit lateral separation. The drive members are movable relative to structural members to move the separable joint to a locked configuration wherein the drive members prohibit lateral separation of the structural members.

  • Publication number: 20190245816
Abstract: The disclosed systems and methods provide organization, small group, and particularly family-oriented communications platforms, with computing device applications and services allowing users to post, store, organize and share transactions, events, stories, updates, conversations, photos, physical location information and videos and other small group shared, or family-related, information within specified small group units, including specified family units. A content-controlled data and information exchange environment, as a local unit network, is provided that effectively firewalls content providers from gaining insight into the information exchanged by, and preferences of, any individual member of the group, while maintaining transparency into the interests, goals, objectives and data exchange preferences of the group. These objectives are implemented via a specific communications gateway between the local group network and external communication nodes.

  • Publication number: 20190242214
Abstract: A resettable pressure activated device (100), comprises an inner wall (102), a return spring (105), a resilient element (110) and an axially movable piston (120) arranged around the inner wall (102). The piston (120) comprises a radially extending piston area (121) in fluid communication with a central bore (101) within the inner wall (102) such that the piston (120) moves in an activation direction when a bore pressure within the central bore (101) exceeds the pressure around the device by a predetermined release pressure. The return spring (105) is configured to provide a return force that is directed opposite the activation direction and has a magnitude sufficient to return the piston (120) to an idle position when the bore pressure drops below a predetermined reset level. The resilient element (110) provides a retaining force, e.g. a friction force, equal to the difference between the release force and the return force.

  • Publication number: 20190244192
Abstract: The UNIVERSAL ELECTRONIC PAYMENT APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“UEP”) transform touchscreen inputs into a virtual wallet mobile application interface via UEP components into purchase transaction triggers and receipt notices. In one implementation the UEP provides, via a user device, a product information search request; and obtains, in response to the product information search request, information on a first product for sale by a first merchant and a second product for sale by a second merchant. The UEP generates a single purchase transaction request, using the information on the first product for sale by the first merchant and the second product for sale by the second merchant. The UEP provides, via the user device, the single purchase transaction request for payment processing. Also, the UEP obtains an electronic purchase receipt for the first product for sale by the first merchant and the second product for sale by the second merchant.

  • Publication number: 20190239842
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for providing images for detecting an endoleak after a stent graft has been placed within the aorta of a person at a stent graft location. First and second contrast agents are injected at first and second times (T1, T2) and first, second and third computed tomography images of the stent graft location showing a) the first contrast agent, b) the second contrast agent and c) the stent graft and tissue, respectively, are reconstructed based on spectral projection data acquired at a third time (T3). By using these computed tomography images for detecting an endoleak, the endoleak detection can be significantly improved, wherein this improved endoleak detection can be provided with a relative low radiation dose, because the images can be reconstructed by using only the computed tomography scan at the third time.
